  • I really gravitate towards flat burrs, but have always liked the SD40 from Turin. Well the SK40 has some welcome upgrades like upgraded burr geometry and a steeples adjustment mechanism which makes it much more friendly for espresso enthusiasts like myself. For a $200ish grinder, this thing has blown me away. I have used much more expensive grinders and received similar cup quality.

Can you share your grind setting ranges for different brew types?

About 4-5 for espresso usually. Think 16-20 for drip

So I’m looking for a grinder exclusively for pour over that can do light and medium roast! Would this be good?

If you want conical, exclusively for pour over, I’d probably get the SD40. If you are wanting light to medium roast; you might prefer the DF64 depending upon how much clarity you wish to achieve. Conicals are naturally less clean and clear. It can be desirable

Hi. Is there a motor difference between this and the SD40?
