Wish he would have talked about how he mounted his mics internally and what are the benefits of doing that? Wish someone would do an instructional video on how they do it too. I seen a couple of drummers use that custom mounted internal set up. I was thinking about doing that to my kit. I wouldn't concider myself a full time touring musicians but I do play a decent amount of shows in my region to wear this system would be worth internally micing my toms. I just switched to and would rather use the tiny dpa4099 mics inside my toms if I was going to use that system. Anyone know of any good instructional vids on how to internally mount the tom mics? Sure its not that hard but I dont wanna risk ruining my toms and would like to know of a neat and proper way.
I noticed it too, and it seems like a DIY kind of cheeper way than the MAY-internal mic system and other expensive solutions. Looks like ordinary strap brace band fixed to inside lug screws and a 3/8 screw, and maybe a 3/8 nut to tighten things up.
