    I'm a rock drummer by nature, but I have to admit that was some sick grooves. I closed my eyes and visualised what I could apply it to, some awesome insight it gave me. Thanks.

      Trap music comes from the “trap” which is drug related shit hence the word “trap house”

      Glad you liked it Alex! To be honest, modern metal and "trap" music have plenty in common, as far as the exploration of quick subdivision changes. Move these hi hat patterns to your kick, and you'd have a one hell of a breakdown. ;)

      Alex Baker at first I was thinking "this is going to stupid", because I hate trap music and play metal, prog and fusion.... I'm a total metalhead, but I not only found this interesting but useful as well....

      With Metalcore on the rise again many many bands are starting to use similar hi hat patterns. Good example would be Code Orange- My World

    I've never really been into electronic music as it is just click, copy and paste (at least in my imagination of how most of it is being.. produced) but it's got some exceptions as I remembered the trapgenre a little. That is why I liked so much to hear "Keep it organic" - which are for me the magic words when it comes to music. I like (Black)metal the most for it's atmosphere, but I like to try combining it to these kind of beats. Many thanks for your explanations!

      Young Slogg - theyre really simple, just keep doing them and youll get them down. Its important for you wrists to not be stiff

    • @xscotx101
      @xscotx101 6 років тому +1

      agree with Tronci on this.. the worst thing to have when blasting is a stiff wrist.. you'll tire out very quickly that way. focus on using the bounce of your strikes and using your ring and middle finger to return said bounce to the snare and cymbal. Recommend using a metronome for timing and build up speed.
