3 rules of thumb for offering advice in Unicorn Overlord; 1. If you critique a certain matchup always provide timecode of that matchup or I won't take the advice because I simply have no way of understanding it. (Context) 2. If you are offering a universal tip for a class/unit type/etc. Try to clearly state that so I'm in the right frame of mind and not wondering if the first rule of thumb was addressed or not. 3. And Double check your own work that it is accurate to your knowledge and if you're unsure you should say so. Too many state their "I think" in a declarative statement which can be frustrating for me because it's impossible to parse from those who actually know versus have a hypothesis.
I hope Intelligent Systems is looking at this game with fear in their hearts. They need a wake up call right now so they start actually trying to make a game that looks like effort and love and care was put into it.
Yeah, quite smart and bold if the choice that seems best (giving him to the guards) does not have the best consequences, given that it is the first real choice in the game. Interesting setup.
This game has been really good. Just finished this level and wanted to see if someone struggled like me. I didn’t upgrade my gear before so it was brutal.
Just look at those ability condition options. Simply overwhelming for now, but I'm glad it's there. Also wondering if in later missions pulling your units back and resummoning them at a fort further along the map will be a valid strategy for saving time and stamina? I'm not sure, but it would be an interesting thought.
That's a good call, it's easy to forget that you can un-deploy and it even refunds your point so you could pull them out elsewhere. This never occurred to me during the demo but it could be very useful.
Late comment I know, but I was wondering why your Alain unit seemed so much less tanky than I expected. Figured it out: he’s using that poison attack instead of his self-healing default attack! Can get around it with Tactics conditions, but I suspect you’ve figured that out by now (or changed his sword).
I know you're already way farther now, but for anyone else, thought I'd mention Chloe has a valor skill to revive everyone in a unit. Revival orbs shouldn't be used as much as this :P Edit : Ah, he saw it a bit later in the video
I honestly want an option to view all Valor's in a single list you can scroll through. I personally would find that helpful, I'm struggling to remember who has what and what they do and it makes it really hard for me to utilize them in fights. It's mostly a me problem and the way my brain works.
@@AnalogVernacular Well it's technically there although it takes a few clicks and probably not in the form you 'd want it to be, but it's something. Press start, enter the character list menu, then go to the skill page of the first character and press R2 to scroll through everyone's valor skill.
@@AnalogVernacularthat even though the demos timed that there'll be enough episodes of the demo until the full release. Sorry that wasn't clear. I'm adoring this game. Desperately wish I could play it myself
I played the entire demo before releasing so the ending of the demo content lines up directly with the release of the game. There will be no pause waiting for release it'll just keep going.
@AnalogVernacular Awesome! I don't know why it didn't occur to me that you wouldn't prerecord. I'm hella excited for release day. I wonder how much of the story's in the demo. My guess is at least Chapter 1? Based on the demo time. Finally catching up on the FF7 remake so I can watch rebirth and actually know what's going on.
@@AUsefulNPC there is a time limit of 5 hours (after first big skirmish, does not count down in menus), it also ended for me after a major main story mission. I am not sure if ity okay to describe what so i simply wont
I'm surprised how long this demo is. Ugh, I really don't like Gammel, I was really hoping he was done. 2.2%? Yeah you're going to have to get that to 100% lol. Some of the music in this game reminds me of Octopath Traveller.

they put so much love into this game.

@@AnalogVernacular I’m sticking with you on that
That's funny. The thief ran off and thanked me, saying he wouldn't forget my kindness for letting him go.
Still doesn't excuse his actions, though.
Only time will tell if that was a good call or not I guess. Who knows it could go either way.

When I saw bulk up I was worried for a sec

This game is fkin amazing so far
This game unintentionally teaches you programming with all those tactics conditions. 😅

It probably means only the lord can use it
