- I've finally gotten around to playing the mission file which has been most recommended to me by all of you- I even bought Apex specifically to play this! As it's my first time playing I spend a little time learning the ropes, putting the information I read on the wiki into practice etc, though I've already found an exploit...
ArmA 3 is owned by Bohmeia Interactive, all content is created under "Fair Use". Buy the game here- store.steampow...
Overthrow, by the Overthrow team- steamcommunity...

this asmr arma 3
stellarFPS haha ur not wrong
I don’t know why, but I am reading comments in a whispery voice.
I love Utube for the recommadation. I was looking for a SP like this and finally found something. Great video keep up the good work and u got a great voice.
Thank you, next Overthrow video will be tomorrow! It's interesting to know that UA-cam is starting to recommend my videos to people, too
You deserve more views Jack! Another great series from what's quickly becoming my favourite youtuber.
I'm glad you're enjoying my videos so much- the kind words mean a lot!
I'm really excited for this playthrough actually!
I found an infinite money exploit in antistasi 1.9 first time I played it lol
There seems to be a few exploits in this mission, not only do the bags spawn with gear in but since it uses the ACE arsenal you can apparently pull unlimited items out of it. Certain things are worth quite a lot, like a certain type of herb, so I'm going to have to be careful to avoid exploits haha
soooo urm whats the money exploit?
I gotta say, I'm very impressed by this mod so far! I think I'm gonna really enjoy this series! 😁👍
It's definitely a fun mission, I hope you do enjoy the series!
This looks amazing, lots of potential, keep this coming Jack!
It definitely does! I'm planning on completing this whole mission so I'll definitely keep the videos coming
Oh nice, just discovered this series. Also Tanoa is my favourite map.
your no1 fan is back after a busy couple months recovering from surgery, glad youre still going strong
Hey there, it's good to hear from you again! I'm sorry to hear you've had to go in for surgery but hopefully your recovery is going well- I know that kind of scenario can be really life changing...
Of course I'm still going here though, there's plenty for you to catch back up on if you're bored!
@@JackArden Yeah man its good to be back, you really helped kill away the first month of painkillers and boredom, but now that school and therapy are becoming manageable ive got all the time in the world to relax.
Painkillers, boredom and therapy don't sound like much of a good time, though I'm glad these videos helped you out! Having time to relax is good, I hope you're taking advantage of that as much as possible.
@@JackArden I sure am, im looking forward to this new series, looks like antistasi with more cool features
It plays like someone fused Antistasi with a life mod, not sure if you've watched anyone play those? It's an RP-type deal where people go around doing jobs to get money and then buy guns to screw around with the police/military.
After 1 minute of you whispering to my ears I started to feel uneasy.
Ahh good to relive memories but this time I’m playing as I watch 😂🙏🏽
New subscriber and thanks for showcasing this it may well be added to our own little server soon just because of this video.
Thanks for subscribing! I hope you have fun with the mission
Pretty excited for another ARMA series, hopefully this is a tip, n I don't know how different tanoa is compared to altis, but you should be able to fast travel to any building you own, such as the base you start in, depending on the starting options you picked for it, so if you have to drive across multiple islands, you can then fast travel back home.
You're right, fast travel is available though I started with the option to fast travel at a cost. To get from that town back home would have cost me almost $300, which I wasn't carrying and is a tad expensive at this early stage. Thankfully, the ferry travel is much more reasonably priced!
@@JackArden Ah, makes sense at that price then, luckily you can always rely on a good ol' ferry. I'd like to give more tips for this mod, but like you said at the start and with most mods it's always best to experience them first hand, though one tip I will say is that I find it good to try and loot the maps, GPS's and watches from the police, as it's a great way to get money early on. Lookin' forward to the rest of the series.
That's a good tip, thank you! I was aware you could sell legal items back to shops though I was thinking more about buying them cheaply in stable areas and selling them for a premium in areas of unrest.
@@JackArden Ah, yea that'd work, it's just a nice reminder to do if you go around lowering the stability aswell instead of just looting guns, get them aswell. Last bit of advice if you want things real cheap, check importing things from the sea ports, things go for real cheap there, just try not to export by accident.
Much appreciated, I'll make a note of all this somewhere
Oh, I love this series, an Uprising incoming!
If it isn't disabled and you don't already know, you have a medical menu that can be used by pressing "H". If you are using full ace medical, which it looks like are you, then you'll want to become familiar with the menu and the medical system.
To try to sum it all up, basic rules are packing bandage for velocity wounds (there is a hole in your body so stuff it with gauze) and elastic bandage for everything else(avulsion, scrape, cut, tear, crush, maybe one more) and bruises just exist. My experience is 2k+ hours in ace ([medical instructor in three milsim/starsim units] what is vanilla?) and Outdoor Emergency Care cert/Ski Patrol, so I believe that I have a pretty good idea about medical for arma.
Oh, also, morphine is your best friend. It stops you from feeling pain, so you can get knocked out from being in pain but wake back up very quickly if you have morphine in your system.
For the menu. The silhouette will display your character's injuries. Clicking on one of the six parts of the body will display that part's injuries in the box to the direct right. The game normally applies a bandage to the injury at the top of that list. You navigate to applying bandages (left of the silhouette) by clicking on the broken bone icon called bandages/fractures.
The two bottom text boxes display a record of recorded vitals and the other displays all past medical actions on that specific person. No one should be able to OD on morphine/eppi if they check treatment history.
I think that you should be fine for solo ace medical with just the stuff above. G'luck and can't wait for the next episode!
I appreciate the detailed explanation, so far I've been making do with basic bandages and as much morphine as seems necessary to get rid of the pain effect but I'll see about picking up some different kinds of bandages for when I recruit teammates. I'm sure it'll be much more useful for keeping them alive since they likely won't have the same respawn capabilities as I do.
This sounds interesting, I’m probably gonna play it after I’m done playing antistasi.
I’d love it if they had like a toy soldiers/sarges heroes like mod
If you're playing through Antistasi, I'd say Overthrow is a logical step up. In terms of features, it plays how you might expect a sequel to Antistasi to play
I really like all the added features that overthrow has, it definitely has me eager to play it. By the way, keep up the great videos man
Jack Arden do you think you could do like a tip video on antistasi?
You mean like my quick start guide but for this mission too? I'm definitely open to the idea but I'd like to learn more about the mission first, since this is my first time playing it.
Jack Arden ah okay, sounds awesome
The damage intake on this was wild. I bumped my table in my shack and i couldn't sprint or even run. I limped. for bumping a table.
I believe that's a bug with the recent ACE update which merged the basic/advanced models. Collision with physics objects would always hurt you if they were moving, but after that update I killed myself repeatedly by walking next to sandbags/barrier walls.
Have you got any plans to do a series on Arma Reforger: Overthrow or when Arma 4 eventually releases, Overthrow for that game?
I definitely plan to try A4, but reforger really isn't for me.
I love your vids dude! Are you gonna Play The Old Man Campaign? Its really cool and has an open world approach
Thank you, I do have that mission on my list of things to play soon so yes I'll be playing it
Jack Arden awesome dude! Dont ever stop with UA-cam, your Voice is too Damn soothing. ;D
World needs less tension. Almost like world war two. Antistasi needs More attention. And so do You! Btw luv ur vids
I need more poetic comments like this haha
I'm not sure if you're in the community discord or if you watch the livestreams, though there's plans for a new Antistasi series soon
@@JackArden Well i havent been here for a while so i musta missed some things
Got internet up. Time to catch up on what ya got done . Ps how are you enjoying it so far?
I am! The mission feels like it's filling the gaps I felt were present in Antistasi- it's more complete and the only bugs I've really come across have been exploits.
As for dlc price i had to look .. it is alot of cash. Didn't realize how much it was got it on sale
Yes, Apex is a lot for what you get... Funnily enough it was reduced in price heavily about a week after I bought it!
Just starting overthrow . Alot more in it than warlords of the Pacific. More of a challenge aswell which is good
Which of the three is your favorite, overthrow or vindicate
I'm guessing you meant to include antistasi by saying "which of the three"? Out of that group, overthrow is the best by a massive margin. It has the most to do with all the ways to make money and create bases/decorate houses, a proper economy that reacts to conflict and the mission has the right level of difficulty to make it enjoyable to play. Antistasi can either be easy or annoyingly difficult whereas vindicta is just a matter of snowballing across the map, no challenge at all to be had. Neither antistasi or vindicta can rival overthrow in replayability either.
nice
very cool man
much better than standard antistasi
Yes it's definitely better than Antistasi already!
is there a way to creat a single player or a co-op server for like a real life roleplay? like this kinda where you oculd buy houses and buy stuff at shops?
I don't know of any missions like that, Overthrow might be as close as you get. So long as you act within the law you can perform different jobs to earn money, buy your house, furnish it, start a business etc
Can't play it jack comes up not for single players unless ive got the wrong one, i just went on the steam shop and downloaded it .
Are you trying to play it via the scenarios menu? You need to go onto multiplayer and launch the mission as a LAN server to play single player
Can you send the link of the newest overthrow on steam workshop?
You're probably looking for the Overthrow community edition which replaces the outdated original mission - steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2824471652
@@JackArden thats that, thank you.
I love this scenario, unfortunately I can't play it because I don't have Apex :/
I hope they make an Altis/Malden version
Both Altis and Malden are officially supported, though according to the wiki they still use Apex assets. You could always give it a try and see how you get on with either map, though I'm not sure how well it'd work.
It's a wonder why they didn't just make it for Altis by default.
I'm not massively supportive of the idea of developing content you "require" DLC for, since it limits who can access it. In all fairness though, the game is so old and we have so many mission files for Altis that you can't fault someone for making a mission on a map of their choice.
You dont need DLC to play Overthrow. DLC is only needed if you wanna play on Tanoa
armaoverthrow.com/index.php?title=Playing_Overthrow#Required_DLC
can you drop you're config file somewhere? i can't see the nato troops on the map.
Is it just me or does it sound like he is whispering?
No, if anything I talk a little louder than normal for recording
@@JackArden Ok, Please play a lot more I love what you are doing.
Thank you, I'll be playing this mission till I complete it hopefully!
holy shit do you need a pop filter.
