Thanks for the port building btw. I was going crazy cause i thought that the ferry people was the port and i was wondering why i couldnt sell my 240 sugarcane Also 34:18 This is absolutely broken, you can buy blow for like 250 and sell it for 500, thats 2x profit. I just did that a couple of times and was able to get an entire base setup
Yes there's a few methods of money making which blow everything else out of the water, though they might not all be "fun" to everyone if they're too exploity.
Overthrow is a much richer experience than Antistasi will ever be while playing solo. The economy, support/stability and the way FOBs work in comparison to Antistasi's relatively dead world is a night and day difference. I hope you have a good time with the mission!
I understand that the gangs are on the player's side and the red area on the map is a sign that it is being controlled? Each faction will want to capture cities? Does the reputation of each faction have any significance?
The gangs aren't on the players side unless you recruit them, they are on their own side and can be hostile to both NATO and the players. I'll cover gangs in more detail in a future video in this series. The only faction that can capture towns or cities is the player's, as NATO abandons them when they hit 0% stability, or after a battle when the population exceeds 100. There are two types of red area on the map, the red "hashed" areas show restricted areas around military locations that you will be wanted if spotted inside, and the red circle around towns indicates NATO has abandoned it and it is in anarchy. That means the player controls it and can collect income from it, but as you increase stability again the red will slowly fade away and be replaced by green to indicate it is stable. Faction reputation indicates what they are willing to sell to you, again something I'll go over in future videos in this series.
@@JackArden Every time I take over a city, gangs with a large army come right before me. This has practically happened in 3 cities and I wonder if it should be like this. I'm already in such a war with them that very often they shoot at me for no reason when they see me coming (it's not always, but without warning I have wanted status). Moving the base somewhere further will make the gang not persecute me so much?
This is the kind of thing I mean when I say that gangs have more freedom once NATO leaves. Gangs always gain strength over time unless they are killed off, even small skirmishes or sniper attacks against patrols from the gang can bring their strength down over time as the number of members they have is tracked. They will attack you on sight if they have attacked you at any point in the past, which is explained in the notifications as "(gang) has recognised you". Once this happens they are basically hostile forever. To stop this happening, don't become wanted near gangs. They don't like you carrying weapons openly, for example. In a later video in this series I'll go over ways to deal with them.
I'm not too sure about vindicta because it was abandoned in a not-so-great state and it's a very simple game mode that you can complete very quickly by snowballing your army. It doesn't need a guide as much as other CTI modes, but I guess it depends on how much people request it.
Uhhhh, does this guide series count? I'm basically doing an entire playthrough alongside this to get footage and screenshots so I can't start another one right now!
Hopefully it will! There's hardly any useful documentation on Overthrow despite it being out for so long, so I'm hoping by making this guide series I'll be plugging that gap.

Thank you Jack for this crystal clear tutorial 10/10
You're welcome, thanks for the feedback!
Waiting for next parts dude, nice work
Thanks! I'll be working on the next parts as soon as I can
I’ve been playing the Antistasi ultimate mod it’s fantastic!
so, essentially, Overthrow is like an expanded Antistasi? I am interested, I might play this mod. Definitely gonna follow the guide series.
It's the same type of mission, being a capture the island, or CTI mission. They're pretty different though.
the boys are back in town
Brother thank you. ıt's very good..!!
I'm glad you like it, I'll be working on the next parts of this guide series soon!
I solo'd Antistasi and that wasnt really great. Downloaded Overthrow as it seems pretty good

How to change loadouts of your police units?
At 31:15 I go through police stations briefly. You can see "edit loadout" at the bottom of the menu that I show you here.
@@JackArden got it, thank you
Woohoo
Does this mean we are going to have a new Overthrow series? 🎉
Uhhhh, does this guide series count? I'm basically doing an entire playthrough alongside this to get footage and screenshots so I can't start another one right now!
@@JackArden I love the idea of the guide series, it will surely bring a lot of attention to this great mod!

An Overthrow series would be amazing! I’m struggling with it, but still loving it all the same 😂
Thanks for the feedback. These videos do take a lot longer to make than normal, but I'll have the next one of this series out when I can!
How to save ARMA 3 OVERTHROW game ?
This is explained at 16:00 in this video.
