Dont file them down otherwise the the clutch plates would be more noisy stationairy and the worn out the basket even faster. Just renew the basket. Strange that the basket is movin,is there a lot of space between the teeth's? What does the workshop manual say?
Everytime I let off the throttle I would hear a loud clack around the clutch case. Do you have it too before the change of new clutch kit? Did you also changed the clutch housing too?
my 954's clutch housing also has some noise when it is in neutral, but when I pull in the clutch lever the noise goes away.
I used a tiny file and it seems to have just taken them grooves away nice and smooth. New clutch kit in and bike feels very nice indeed.No noise!
