I'm glad you decided to take a look at Death Grips one more time, I enjoyed the thoughts you had at the end there. I agree with Roy that you should check out On GP, it's completely different from the two songs you've heard so far but I think it's one of their best.
Hi! I'd recommend listening to The Strokes (a popular song is Reptilia) and Parquet Courts (some good songs by them are Berlin got Blurry and Uncast Shadow of a Southern Myth) !!! Your videos are great btw!
I have never heard of this band before, but this style of upbeat music makes me think of another band I think you would thoroughly enjoy. Bloodwood - "Ari Ari" or "Jee Vereey" . They are an Indian Metal band, the first song is considered their Street Metal and the second one is more of Folk Metal. Both have lyrics in the video and majority of it is in English, their messages are just beautiful. I absolutely think you would enjoy them. You'll definitely be bobbing your head with their music. Be safe at work during this pandemic!
Love your perspective on things. As for the sampling comment, i agree somewhat with it, often samplings obvious and not very creative but when its less noticeable i love it. One of my favourite examples is earl sweatshirt 's huey. He samples a sound effect from mario 64 for the drum in the song, and its hardly even noticeable. You should check out steroids by deathgrips, its a long but great one
I don't mind sampling if it is used as a supplemental sound to an original melody, but using a sample of a someone else's song and simply taking out the vocal track and replacing it with a rap track I consider theft! i.e. Vanilla Ice stealing Under Pressure.
@@kerrymac1 exactly! Thats just lazy. J cole did that with his mixtapes, and it makes the only new art the lyrics, which is no different than poetry at that point, its not a complete musical vision
If you are still interested in their music, I would highly recommend you react to their live version of Guillotine because it’s a whole different experience. Just look up Guillotine light and noise episode. Zach hill, a man who works mostly behind the scenes on Death Grips, is one of the best drummers of our time but his drums are only really featured on the live versions. It might make for an interesting video because you’ve already heard the studio version so Death Grips fans would definitely appreciate your reaction to how Zach Hill can bring another level to an already intense song
Hey, new subscriber. Watching folks react to music you love (or hate) bring a vicarious kind of fun with it. I know you done a lot of Modest Mouse but if you get the itch for some more should check out Make Everyone Happy/Mechanical Birds and King Rat. The first is from their first album, the second is from the EP released between their second-to-latest and latest album, so you got a good spread between old and new. If you're into the more experimental, proggy stuff you'll dig those. Or not.
Not a P Diddy fan, but sampling is definitely a huge aspect of hip-hop, especially when you consider the roots of the genre. Of course, it isn’t always effective or done well, but it’s definitely not something to write off. Also, I think you’d be very surprised at just how much music you already enjoy features a sample in the mix somewhere. It’s a matter of perspective too. I love Led Zeppelin, but some of the riffs they used were blatant ripoffs of blues musicians; they might as well be labeled “samples” (or at least “covers”) of some of those older blues riffs. All love though.
Sorry, I've been watching reaction videos all day and this is the second time I've heard these guys mentioned regarding a Death Grips track. i've never heard of it, and now I'm confused. Are you referring to Scarlxrd, or Skalord? Or something else entirely?
heyy just saw your Jinjer reactions, if you're into metal there's a french death metal - ish band called Gojira. Really cool stuff musicaly and lyric wise. Top band. hope u like it when you check them out, cheers !
I will watch any death grips content, favorite band
Plenty more of them on my list. Keep watching!
Same i cant get enough of them
Looks like you're getting into Death Grips haha or as they say getting "Noided". React to their song "On GP", which shows their rocky side.
Well, I've been warned and down the rabbit hole, so why not get noided too! Thanks for the suggestion :)
I agree, on GP is a great suggestion
Death Grips are great, cool to see this dude react, this song is hypnotic

react more mr. death grip pls
Plenty more of them on my list. Keep watching!
Another death grips song he can react to is Takyon
Really nice reaction! You should definetly do Hustle Bones or I've Seen Footage by Death Grips, they are their catchiest songs in my opinion.
Thanks for the suggestions :) I will put them on my list and thanks for watching!
@@kerrymac1 no problemm
I’ve seen footage is the most “pop” song in their discography. If that one doesn’t do it none of them will
will have to check it out
Great reaction :) I think you would like their song "Eh" too!
Cool. I will put it on the list. :) Keep watching!

You should listen to Hacker, which is from the same album this one came from.
Thanks for the suggestion!
I would give Hacker by death grips a listen as well

I agree. It has to be done right, but also sparingly, imo.
Do more. Please react to a whole album of theirs, The Money Store.
Thanks for the suggestion :) I will put it on my list and thanks for watching!

punk weight next!
YES
That one is on my list already. Stay tuned!
Please check "No love" by Death Grips
but not the official video, which has annoying edits. Album version only
@@mopefiend Thank U
Cool. I will put it on the list. :) Keep watching!
Yeah, i thought you'd prefer this one. Guillotine is by far their most abrasive track. Try Hustle-Bones and Klink.

Yep, he nailed it. Hip-hop at that time was wack AF. Death grips is working looking into.
You should check out Shibuya by Cover.
Cool. I will put it on the list. :) Keep watching!
@@kerrymac1 Awesome thanks man! Love the videos! Just started watching a couple days ago!
Thanks! Glad you like what I'm doing. :)

Thanks for the suggestion :) I will put it on my list and thanks for watching!
Try Denzel Curry. I hope you like :D
Cool. I will check him out.
I'm a death grips fan and I don't even like Guillotine
I didn't necessarily dislike it. Just wasn't my favorite.
Really? Huh?
