Very smooth running style, your a natural. I read your Dad's book years ago, great read and training in it. Well done on following in his running footsteps.
Great video Almi, genetics are a wonderful thing, straight away I could see you have his smooth running style. I used to try and keep up with your Dad in Bushy Park in Teddington back in the day...I failed 😂. I'm back into running after 20 years out! Keep up the great videos 👍
I'm not an endurance athlete, but very good video. I remember your Dad running back in the day and can definitely see a similarity in styles. Good luck in DC.
Good luck with your UA-cam channel. Love this video because I run with my 13 year old son, his dreaming of being a pro runner 🏃 😊 nice to see you so close to your dad. My son did a hilly 5k the other day in 16:46 he now wants to do a fast flat course. He's a 1500m runner with a time off 4:26:01 he's channel (Running for my dream) is to show his journey 😊
I remember trying to race your Dad around the streets of Bingley as a lad…well I say race…I was all out sprinting whilst he was totally unaware and on his long slow training run 😂.
Is case it's useful, for long runs off of the Georgetown campus the "Capitol Crescent Trail" is a 7-mile bike path along the river and canals nearby. No cars. Rock Creek Park is a bit further north but it is the largest park in D.C. with plenty of trails as well.
@@alminerurkar soo cool! Now im an even bigger fan of your Dad ❤️ Im half indian (my dad was indian) myself and used to run 800/1500 (1.53/3.56). Seb Coe is 25% indian. I believe India has many running talents...You seem to have a very nice stride. 👍
As a Leeds grad who shares your Dad’s name and having run in a fair few races he was in, I loved watching this. Hope all’s going well Stateside.
@@runsbycode9592 thanks for watching!! we’ll be having a rematch at Christmas 😸

So how did you and your dad's Parkrun age-related %😮 compare?
89 to 87, he's waiting for a rematch when he moves up an age category 😂
@@alminerurkar You shouldn't round 89.88% to 89 🤫I hope your maths teacher is not seeing this 😜 For the records it's Hove Promenade parkrun #387
