Thanks for giving the 1st generation V-Max the recognition it deserves. I had a 1986 V-Max until a left of center truck met us on a blind curve in 1994. I've found a 2004 for 6 grand and I'm anxious to enjoy Max again. Currently driving a Honda VTX 1800R.😊
I own a 2020 Triumph Rocket 3 GT always want one speaking of the older version but now with the new one and being able to buy one its a beast of a bike to have the acceleration and the torque it produce is something out of this world , when you ride this bike you feel bad ass its a heads turner for sure and it command attention when you arrive at a bike meeting your making alot of friends quickly who ask questions about the Rocket its very special never experience this with any other bikes ive own for the last 40 years. Thank for the video.
Excellent presentation. I own a 2022 Diavel 1260S and I can tell you IT IS A MISSILE ON 2 WHEELS!!! Incredible power throughout the entire rpm range. 0-70mph in a blink of an eye makes it so easy to leave all others behind at stoplights. Smooth comfortable ride with great handling.
I've got an 82 Magna V45 and besides from the very small main tank ( you can squeeze 10 litres in it if you really try but don't put it on it side stand when it's full. Luckily this model came out with a 4 litre reserve tank behind the left hand side side cover) and I love it. It was an American import back in 2011 and because of that it only has just over 50,000 klms (original) on the clock now. I also love the fact that most of these bikes are shaft drive proving a bike doesn't need a chain to go fast. Keep up the good work.
Great video of some great bikes! I had a Kawasaki Mean Streak, certainly a power cruiser but not quite a muscle bike. My mate on his V Rod left me in his wake! 🇬🇧
In the 1980s I had a Honda V45 Sabre, the standard model of the Magma. It was a screamer. The V45 was 698cc to pass under the USA big bike tariff at the time. The V65 was the fastest motorcycle in the World then, but rare and much more expensive.
The Honda Sabre was a motorcycle made by Honda from 1982 to 1985. Two years of the Sabre production run were part of a group of Japanese motorcycles that came to be known as "tariff-busters". The 1984 and 1985 models fell in this class because of the modifications made allowing those models to circumvent the newly passed United States International Trade Commission tariff that placed a heavy tax on import/foreign motorcycles with 700cc or larger engine displacement.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻great video again Digger. I took your advice and put new Bias tyres on my ROYAL ENFIELD INTERCEPTOR. It handles BRILLIANT..... THANKYOU FOR YOUR ADVICE!!!
I’m a very big guy and I don’t need the speed but the torque is nice I’d actually love to get a first generation rocket three but if I ever won the lottery I might have the newer generation one and one of those V4 Ducati‘s but honestly, I do use it for long distance, travel rather than launching down the road in the walls such. No I don’t remember what the engine size was but what about the Yamaha warrior? That was a really nice looking bike and it was pretty big looking at least.
No I am afraid they are just not in the same league compared to other modern bikes. They are still powerful though, a great cruiser yes, a power cruiser no.
I've got a Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse which is a fantastic powerful cruiser, I used to own the Kawasaki ZL1000 Eliminator travelling far and wide on that beautiful machine the Chief Bobber Dark Horse gives me a much better ride with a lot more power and will be my main ride for many years.
Yes the new Indians are superb. Although the thunderstroke engine which is what i think yours has, does in fact have less horsepower than the kwaka, 92hp from memory but it does have a substantial amount more torque at unbelievable low rpm too. Awesome machines in every way.
Thanks. I too owned a Victory Hammer S but I sold it when polaris shut them down. The Victory Hammer S is 'in my opinion' one of the best overall performing motorcycles ever made. It ticked every single box, even had ample cornering clearance. What a great machine!!!
I put vegas forward controls. It brought them 2" forward and got me a little more angle. Sorry you didn't put it on the list. It did put out 20% more torque then the v rod when it came out.
Great episode comprehensively covering the muscle bike category. However I am unsure why Yamaha’s MT01 didn’t at least receive an honourable mention. Maybe because it was more muscle bike and less muscle cruiser?
You forgot about the Yamaha Road Star Warrior. 102CI V TWIN It Had decent power in the stock configuration none of the pitfalls of a Harley-Davidson And they made excellent drag bikes.
Good vid. I have a Vf750c 1988 at the mo and a Gsx1400. Im 63 . Rode the full power vmax and the eliminator and many more. Good days . All gone to pot now a very electric pussy world.
The Boss Hoss is a fantastic looking bike with almost unlimited power but they will not keep up with most of the other bikes mentioned here in the real world. They cant corner at all basically and even in a straight line drag race they have too much power and spin the tire uncontrollably if the rider is really pegging the throttle.
In the pursuit to develop more powerful motor cycles that look to be grondbreaking and innovative unfortnately they become more heavier and uglier.NOT LIKE THE CLASSIC BEAUTIES OF PAST SUZUKI ..HONDAS ..KAWASAKIS ..AND YAMAHAS AND OTHER BIKES
I do agree to a certain degree. Not all bikes are heavier and not all are ugly. Having said that some bikes these are just hideous to me, and adventure bikes are getting ridiculously heavy. I produced a video on this alone. Appreciate your opinion buddy!

No thanks needed, still an awesome machine. Todays bikes are not much quicker.
Rode a 2001 VMax until last year at 73 I gave it to my oldest boy and bought a 2005 vtx 1300. Both great bikes. Enjoy your 1800.

You are welcome mate. They are a very special bike, no doubt about it. Im glad you enjoyed the video.
Bikes with style....so good, had to watch a second time 5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thanks mate!!!

Ya lucky bugger, I took one for a long demo ride once. It is without doubt one of the best bikes I have ever ridden!
@@motorcyclecafe Thanks, yes, I have definitely been blessed.
Merry Christmas
Great video really enjoyed it some real cool motorcycles.hi from New Zealand 🇳🇿
G'day buddy or brother 😉. Glad you enjoyed it.
Fantastic episode.
Thank you!
Still have my 1997 Valkyrie purchased new May 1997. It has 107,000 miles and still going strong. 3.6 seconds to 60 mph.
Very nice bikes buddy. A real keeper.

A real classic bike buddy hang onto it and thanks!
Suzuki’s 1985 GS1150E definitely deserves a shout.
I find it hard to go past the max 1200 for pure thrills and shear terror it’s the KING 👑 I have had 3 love em 😊
3??? Bloody hell

Great video .I owned several of the ones you covered. 85 vmax Valkyrie Rocket 3 .I finally settled with the Vrod.❤
The V-rod was and is a great bike!!
It was good to be reminded of the great looks and finishes of the Honda Magna bikes. Original and fresh, even now. Cheers mate!
You're welcome buddy. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was actually a pretty interesting video to produce.
I have the Valkyrie 1800 great bike and as smooth as a Cadillac
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻great video again Digger. I took your advice and put new Bias tyres on my ROYAL ENFIELD INTERCEPTOR. It handles BRILLIANT..... THANKYOU FOR YOUR ADVICE!!!
@@chrispulham4779 excellent buddy glad to be of service. Theres a comparison on the channel old vs new interceptor.
Thanks for doing this great vid with some great bikes, most l haven't ridden, yet. 😊👍🍻
You're welcome buddy. Im glad you enjoyed it. I doubt many have ridden all these bikes. Especially the last one 😉
Well, we may not always agree about motorcycles but we are definitely on the same page when it comes to women and especially women 's fashion 😂
Mmmmmmm,,, very interesting mate.!

Great report! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it.
Would you consider a rebel 1100 a muscle cruiser?
No I am afraid they are just not in the same league compared to other modern bikes. They are still powerful though, a great cruiser yes, a power cruiser no.
8:00 water cooled Vrod engines were designed by porsche and built by HD
@@Obliv69 yep that is correct !
Yeah Man but something had to cover the enormous Downdraft Intake. I have an 84 Venture, and the Airbox sits a solid foot Higher than the Engine.
loved it, learnt something new thx.
Thanks and so did I.

Nice episode. I guess the Victory octane, since it broke a record. I do love my Victory Hammer S.

@@joelandrade1630 as good as they are as far as performance goes they just aren't in the same league as these bikes.

Yes buddy, a great bike for sure but slightly different class of bike.
You forgot about the Yamaha Road Star Warrior.
102CI V TWIN It Had decent power in the stock configuration none of the pitfalls of a Harley-Davidson
And they made excellent drag bikes.
@@DIYmotorcycle yes they were a great bike I remember them very well, almost bought one myself. Maybe for another video.
The eliminator is my favorite especially the 900 cc it just look mean
Yes in reality you dont need any more power than those kwakas had, great bikes!
Indian scout ?
As nice as that bike is, their 1/4 mile times aren't even in the 11 secs bracket. They aren't really made to compete in this category.
My picks the big Magna, the V Max, the V Rod and lastly the Ducati. As far as looks the title goes to the V Rod followed by the Magna.
