That’s symptom of anxiety I think, instead of having positive energy and moving towards wants and goals, it’s easier to pull back and focus on what you want to avoid. Unfortunately if your goal is avoidance you’ll ultimately meet that goal and miss out on a lot and not grow. I like you and your channel Judith 😀

Judith, I’ve been an artist my entire life, (35 years) I know I want to work in indie studios for games, animation & cinematography. I’ve always wanted that! But I feel like I don’t know how exactly to go about it and how to live up to my full potential. Like I don’t know where to begin, or just can’t do it without help; and I don’t know where exactly to look for that helping hand. So I’ve just been doing all that I can on my own and saying yes to every opportunity that comes.
I’m so glad to hear you’re validation & encouragement! It means the world to me & not something I get to hear often. My trouble has been the area where I’m currently living, which is very rural. We have to travel 30 miles one way to go grocery shopping. Most of my friends are anywhere between 45 minutes drive & as far as across the country. One time while I was in college, between 2013-14, me & a handful of my art friends formed a social gaming group dubbed Team OMG! We’re just a bunch of crazy nerdy fun loving geeks! The one cardinal rule; work before play. I had an idea to film a mini series for UA-cam called Ashlee’s Grocery List (or AGL for short) the idea was that it would be my mission to keep the campus student food pantry stocked, but there was always an adventure to get to & from the store! We were tossing around so many amazing ideas & even had a few of our professors willing to participate in full costume! The one factor that threw everything to the back burner, was that we were busy college kids & teachers. Creating the time slots it would take was nearly impossible. I exhausted every option I could think of while being flexible & understanding of my friends schedules. Ultimately when it came right down to the day I was planning to shoot, people bailed. That was insanely hard to swallow, considering they were optimistic and agreeable to participating. So finding that accountability was almost nonexistent. Admittedly I wasn’t the best director or the most organized. After all I was balancing classes, presentations, studio projects, time management & trying to have somewhat of a social life while fitting sleep in there somewhere. Fast forward to present day, I get a steady flow of commissions, mostly from friends, & I try to keep myself busy. But I don’t feel I’ve fulfilled my dreams or ambitions yet. Right now something I know I need to just get the hell outta here! Move to a small city where more of my friends are, find decent work & continue my projects from there. I do online content creating, live-streams, posting my work, & applying for studio jobs no matter the location! I’m willing to relocate anywhere! I want to get more than my feet wet & see this world! I’m ready for adventure!
This pandemic was a game changer for me. Well, I can say that I am that 0.0001% that TOTALLY enjoyed staying at home. I still leave to go to work though. Laundry Day is Wednesday & food runs are on Thursdays (sorry, can't spell "groceries" right). I have no kids & that's where I got the edge for many out there (tee hee). I love my home BECAUSE I can be myself by myself. Watch anything I want, stay in my pj's for the weekend, and most importantly, my opinions are mine to have by myself. I DO have opinions on current events that we're having but sometimes... that could start a war with friends & family. Me, it's just not worth debating on who's right & who's wrong. Just isn't worth it for me. I love love YOUR videos. Keep them coming, Judith.

I have always had struggles and challenges were i had to find things to off set what was going on. It is that hard road in life that prepared me for times like this. You ask what do i want that is a easy question for me even though i don't like using the word want. What i would like is for my family and i to stop struggling live in a nice house again and be able to just relax after all the stuff we been through for years. That is what i would like. For me currently trying to be my best self is difficult in a world that is becoming more and more over-reactive to hate and misjudging people for having an opinion. I'm definitely not the most progressive person out there. I don't consider myself left or right but a centralist yet that seems very unfashionable today. I've come to the conclusion people don't want considered opinions based on logic or differing points of view on social media, they want emotionally charged opinions. In terms of a career I'm currently at a crossroads where I have an idea of the sector I want to work but not what role is available and suited to me so I go endlessly for various roles. I'm sort of bored of having to take various routes of employment and kind of wish someone would just place me into a role I enjoy and that I'm good at.

I can be stubborn when it comes to people trying to easily dismiss what I have to say and I've been called all sorts of names (at least one racial insult) on social media for having a more logical view on things going on right now. If it's not progressive and to do with activism you can get into a lot of trouble it seems having a centralist viewpoint. I understand in America centralism isn't really a thing. Either you're a Democrat or a Republican supporter. In the UK where I come from things a lot more diverse. As for my career path since I was young I always liked writing or creating stories. I don't expect to get that kind of opportunity right away but even getting an admin job within a creative industry is tough. I was diagnosed just two years ago with autism. I have Aspergers so I can either come across as an introvert or too much of extrovert...which might explain why my views might annoy people.
