Hi Andy...thanks for the great review ...would love to have your opinion regarding flash vs F9 and flash vs rouge ... specially interested in off centre hits and forgiveness ...I am in the process of deciding between these 3 drivers .. your verdict will be very valuable
I didn't like the name Epic to start with but adding flash to it nauseated my stomach and the color finished it off. But the performance is great. Maybe they will come out with some custom colors, but that won't change the sound it makes.
As commented colour may be an issue for yourself. However having watched a review from an alternative source the club head has an option for different colours.
Considering PXG Gen 2 Driver to go with my irons but want to check out new 2019 Callaway, TM, Titleist & Cobra. Will there be a PXG driver review like the great Gen 2 irons review you did?
Great series of reviews Andy, many thanks. Not sure what all the fuss is about with this Flash Face tech and AI my Mums Yorkshire Puds have been that shape for years! A few other reviewers commented that both Drivers were loud, how did you find their sound. Must admit that that colour scheme looks hideous, it reminds me of West Broms Away kit in the 80's
Looking forward to see how the new pxg gen 2 woods stack up now they are dropping the price in line with other OEMs I am really considering them. Look great imo
Format for review (split screens) was great maximizing information in time slot. I suspect Callaway not blending the Epic and Rogue and that next year we may see the Rogue flash . . . . . I would swap clubs more often but the price tag dissuades this. Great review though . . . . . these manufacturers should be paying you for putting their products out there 😉
Hey no fair callaway gets a fancy intro & TM didn’t! Must be bias! 😱😂. Jokes aside, good honest review as always. Also like your new focus of getting an on course impression before hitting in the bay. Seems like callaway might have an AI assisted beast on their hands. I agree the only real initial negative is that I dislike the name & the coloring. Rick shiels raised a good point that it makes me think of the “old” model too much. Won’t stop me from testing it though & if it gives me great performance, it won’t stop me from buying. Although I’ll prob get a different headcover & the custom paint better be free or cheap 😂. Also, I definitely appreciate your choice of putting out all the videos on the new ranges all at once!
Nice review Andy. Terrible name, but decent performing club! Still not seeing anything to persuade me to change my M4 yet though! If I'm gonna be forking out £400+ 12 months after buying M4, it better be 30 yds longer and bullet straight each time 😂😂😂
@Mike Austin Fan no it didn't. I tested the G400 max before buying the M4, also tested M3, Callayway Rogue, Titleist 917. And to be honest they were all pretty similar. The G400 max launched too high for my liking and was no longer or straighter than anything else. If I put I bad swing on it, there is no amount of forgiveness that brings it back. I actually used the g400 LST yesterday and found that better than the G400 max in my opinion. But I'll tell you what, if I'm hitting my M4 well, I'll put it against your G400 max any time and I'll bet you give up at least 30 yds off the tee to me!
@@TheAverageGolfer yeah exactly mate, my last lesson on driver in October I was average carry about 275-285 dependant on strike and path. So when they're straight, they're long. What new product is going to give me significant improvement on that? I'm not paying £500 for 2 or 3 yards!
@Mike Austin Fan this is true, hence why I said I'd want it bullet straight off the tee to replace my M4. As I also mentioned, I can hit ANY driver equally as far off line! Therefore my initial point still stands, why would I change it?
Andy-busy boy with all the new shiny bits. Flashface, Twistface, Fuckface, What's his face. If this in fact turns out to be the best of the Epic and Rogue rolled into one I may take the leap, more to be revealed. To hear you say that you may be swayed to give up the Ping GMax for The Flash gives me pause to listen up. My old Epic continues to perform but she is a cruel mistress at times, I will wait for more data on the consistency of this new driver before drawing any conclusions or parting with my retirement savings. Good fun as always. Cheers.
Release video's separately and in order.its a bit confusing when they go up at the same time and i Think ypur losing views tbh . Especially when your vids are going up at exactly the same time as bigger channels 😉. Regardless its a great review and a awesome channel
Quick clarification but Rogue sz was tighter dispersion but not as long as epic sz.....now the epic flash sz combines both heads into the best product?
