    Really love the proposed new approach guys. High swing speed review with Matt, avg swing speed fit with Al provides a more robust view of the performance of a club across a spectrum of players. The fitting action is excellent to educate us on how real fittings should work.
    Keep it coming guys, this is awesome!!!

    I'll be on the edge of my seat waiting for this series of Al testing all the new offerings, trying to beat this combo.. love seeing the 145mph-ish ball speed testing. Matches up well with a larger segment of players... great work guys.

    awesome video. it’s so cool to watch and learn from ian about how to make changes to get the best fit. the matt and al combo is super for different perspectives. now just need a ott/negative aoa tester and you’ll be able to really cover the bases. keep up the great work.

    Great work as always gents! As a fellow 100-105 SS player, Al adds a ton of value. Once all the new heads are out and Al has a shaft that works, I'd love to see a head vs head video...maybe with Matt and Al to show who prefers what, based on the difference in speed.

    I aspire to Alan's efficiency with the driver...The work you are doing with Larry is obviously paying off! I always pay special attention to the fittings you do with golfers with more typical swing/ball speeds (not that I don't like Matt's contribution, I just don't see too many of those #'s in my world). I especially liked how this one showed how making other adjustments in addition to a shaft change can make a difference in ball flight. Keep it up! Dave.

    Excellent TXG! Mr. 270 is more inline with where I live. Can not relate to much of what Matt delivers. Wish i could and dream of the day but at 47 years of age don't think its going to happen. But with today's tech you all are showing you can optimize one's potential substantially. I did go out and bought the new TS3 and did gain some yards, more importantly hitting more fairways than i was with M3. I know it is more being a better fit than the driver but also looking forward to your testing of all the new product as well. With both types of swing speeds, Matt and Al #Mr. 270, well that is just going to be the best of both worlds. love it, keep up the great work guys.

    Interesting video. I have similar speeds with my driver. I was very interested in the shaft choices you gave him. I find that when I try a shaft that I should be using, based on my speed, they feel too soft and I leave the face wide open at impact. I play a draw, so the high right cut does not appeal to me. So for this reason I play X stiff shafts, even though my speed says I should not.

    As usual, another awesome and informative video. Not sure I'm ready to replace my G400 LST yet but it's very cool to see someone swinging at more human speeds than Matt and still getting out there at 280. My speed is between the two (110mph) so hoping to get close to that 300 mark after a fitting this weekend.

    Does D setting make it flatter or more upright? I switched mine to D, and it made a huge difference. Got rid of both my fade/slice, AND my pull hook. Phenomenal driver. Running AV blue 65 S, 9* Head stated. It works really well, penetrating ball flight and no ballooning. Slices slice less also.

    Great stuff as usual guys. My swing speed is similar, and yardage overall is a bit lower on average with more run than carry compared to Allen, which with some bunkering on my home course at around 230 from the tee is .....annoying.... I have a feeling that I am far from optimal with my driver. I tend towards a high flight, although when I go after one the low hooky one appears.....Time to hit the balls with some electronic feedback I think!

    Great job guys! I am in the 100-105mph range and seem to have very similar ball flight as Big Al 270 (solid draw with some hooks and blocks mixed in) so this was very relevant to me. I tried the 10.5 deg epic flash with stock shaft last week. I didn't notice more ball speed or yards than with my 9.0 deg G30. Do you think lowering flash loft would help or maybe just different shaft? I seem to remember trackman reading a bit more spin than AL (2600-2800rpm). Thanks again!

    • @clubchampionmedia
      @clubchampionmedia  6 років тому

      Lowering loft would likely produce a bit more ball speed and lower the spin

  • @Disturbed7100
    @Disturbed7100 5 років тому

    I finally got on a launch monitor and found my club head speed is 100-105 as well, 146 ball speed but 4500-5000 spin. I had the pro tell me to crank the loft down because my launch was like 17* + with a 10.5 degrees head. Now my launch is about 10-12 and 2600-3000 spin. The shaft in my driver wasn't fit for me, but he believed i need something with a slightly stiffer tip.

    Ian your knowledge of the fitting process is unprecedented. What is your thought on Mark C's dilemma that sliding the rear weight around only moves the CG and now reduces MOI and really encourages you to hit the ball on the same side of the head that you moved the weight to?

    That is exactly my two misses at just a slightly higher ball speed than I have. My last skytrak session I noticed the spin axis tilt being a bit much causing the over draw. I am playing a Diamana Kai’li 70 in a G400 or Rogue SZ with ADDI 6 and the spin gets a bit high at times. Does the Rajin match well with either head?

      @@clubchampionmedia I have Epic original and have always set it to Draw, but I often have toe strikes. They still usually hit fairway start right with a draw but do lose some distance on these ones..... I also have a negative angle of attack but after 30 years of playing hard to kick this habit. Epic spins a lot less (but still in the 3000's) for me and get reasonable distance with a Mamiya Proforce VST Red(which has been a revelation in regards to dispersion)... Will you revisit the TS drivers in this format as well ? it is their 2019 product line so to be able to compare the big brands I for one woyæd be interested to see them in the mix as well (I'm a Titleist fanboy soooo)

    Yeah Epic Flash is an absolute monster! Great video guys! Now I'm going to throw a curveball in what about getting some Honma products in since the huge buzz with Justin Rose going to them. Don't know if it can be done but worth a shot 😜

    Great series and deep dive into the new Callaway drivers. Thanks guys.
    Question about fitting: I have a Ping G LS Tec and I absolutely love it and dont want to replace it, but watching your videos I think it becomes evident that shaft has a good amount of effect on the shot. Is it possible to do a shaft fitting with you for an older model driver? Thanks in advance!

    Great fitting. Was the final shaft an expensive upgrade in price? It was fun watching how he progressed and now we can call him Mr 280. LOL

      Around ~$200, good shaft but important to note the no-upcharge shaft list is quite good as well

    Great video as always fellas. Would the stock tensei av shaft be similar to the fujikura that Al first hit. Cheers Richard
