I haven't seen every one of your videos, but this I probably enjoyed the most. Glad to see you talk through a fitting and explain what you're doing and why. Love it.
Really love the proposed new approach guys. High swing speed review with Matt, avg swing speed fit with Al provides a more robust view of the performance of a club across a spectrum of players. The fitting action is excellent to educate us on how real fittings should work. Keep it coming guys, this is awesome!!!
I'll be on the edge of my seat waiting for this series of Al testing all the new offerings, trying to beat this combo.. love seeing the 145mph-ish ball speed testing. Matches up well with a larger segment of players... great work guys.
Been a big fan of the channel from near the beginning. LOVE having test done with a more average ss player. THANK YOU! Hope to see more of Al testing the other new heads!
Thanks guys. And thanks to Al for stepping in. I have a similar swing speed and ball speed. Hoping to get fit finally for a driver. Just wish I was down the street from you guys.
Great format! Initial product release review, compare to others in the same category/last year's model, go through the fit with it....makes so much sense! Can't wait to see what you add with GEARS :)
just got a link to your videos from a Hackers Paradise friend. Prolly watched 5 over last couple of hours her eat the office while i am working, thank you for the plethora of information, now a big time fan
awesome video. it’s so cool to watch and learn from ian about how to make changes to get the best fit. the matt and al combo is super for different perspectives. now just need a ott/negative aoa tester and you’ll be able to really cover the bases. keep up the great work.
Great work as always gents! As a fellow 100-105 SS player, Al adds a ton of value. Once all the new heads are out and Al has a shaft that works, I'd love to see a head vs head video...maybe with Matt and Al to show who prefers what, based on the difference in speed.
This was a great video.... matt breaks down in Lehman’s terms what Ian is explaining.... Ian you could record your breakdowns of clubhead/shaft characteristics and sell it as relaxation tapes!!!! Learn something new every time you do a fitting which I can use to my benefit!
great video guys, really solid information. I can't wait to come and get my whole bag fitted. It has been 5 years since my last fitting, so I think I am due and update.
Great review and fitting makes me really take my time buying a new club and thinking of everything that factors in on it great information keep it coming
Great video. Sometimes find it hard to relate to these swings, as a mid fifties with arthritis and swing speed currently around mid eighties I watch these with a bit of envy.
I aspire to Alan's efficiency with the driver...The work you are doing with Larry is obviously paying off! I always pay special attention to the fittings you do with golfers with more typical swing/ball speeds (not that I don't like Matt's contribution, I just don't see too many of those #'s in my world). I especially liked how this one showed how making other adjustments in addition to a shaft change can make a difference in ball flight. Keep it up! Dave.
Super video and great job Al! I think throwing Al into the club testing mix is going to be so valuable and relevant to the majority of your audience. Mr. 280!
Well done. Helpful to understand the thought process involved in the selection of driver, shaft combination and adjustability to optimize distance and ball flight for the average golfer. Very relevant information and highlights the importance of getting fitted.
I am getting fitted for new set soon this is a great insight into whats happening i look forward to the series going forward with the new drivers Keep up the good work guys
Excellent TXG! Mr. 270 is more inline with where I live. Can not relate to much of what Matt delivers. Wish i could and dream of the day but at 47 years of age don't think its going to happen. But with today's tech you all are showing you can optimize one's potential substantially. I did go out and bought the new TS3 and did gain some yards, more importantly hitting more fairways than i was with M3. I know it is more being a better fit than the driver but also looking forward to your testing of all the new product as well. With both types of swing speeds, Matt and Al #Mr. 270, well that is just going to be the best of both worlds. love it, keep up the great work guys.
Great job on the video guys. I fall between Al and Matty in speed so it will be great to compare both. Always good to see someone fall into a combo that works and you can see the level of comfort with it straight away. Looking forward to the comparison of products this season as the g400 has made a pretty big bench mark. I went to the max head myself
Wow. I truly love the new style of video. Even though I have more of a load in my own swing, I was able to learn so much from this. Great job! I wish you guys were out be me in Long Island, New York. I’ve been fitted twice now and have not had anywhere near the type of experience you guys seem to have.
Interesting video. I have similar speeds with my driver. I was very interested in the shaft choices you gave him. I find that when I try a shaft that I should be using, based on my speed, they feel too soft and I leave the face wide open at impact. I play a draw, so the high right cut does not appeal to me. So for this reason I play X stiff shafts, even though my speed says I should not.
As usual, another awesome and informative video. Not sure I'm ready to replace my G400 LST yet but it's very cool to see someone swinging at more human speeds than Matt and still getting out there at 280. My speed is between the two (110mph) so hoping to get close to that 300 mark after a fitting this weekend.
Fantastic video! Would love to visit you guys one day; if the Toronto Wolfpack get promoted to Super League then I’ll be over for the Wigan game and a visit to TXG will be on the itinerary 😊🏌️👍
Like seeing Al test these clubs. Infinitely more relatable than Matt. Much more relevant to 99% of golfers. Looking forward to seeing this series with Al.
As an avid mid handicapper and Engineer i absolutely loved your fitting with Al on the Flash. Please do this for the Wilson Cortex as i see this club being a hit on the used market soon. I have hit it and absolutely love it. Gaming 2016 M2 for two years and ready for a change.
Good job on this video! I think between the previous ones and this one you can see ball speed change. However, as you shown the shaft and the adjustments to the head are keys to success for each player. So Get Properly Fit!!!!
Does D setting make it flatter or more upright? I switched mine to D, and it made a huge difference. Got rid of both my fade/slice, AND my pull hook. Phenomenal driver. Running AV blue 65 S, 9* Head stated. It works really well, penetrating ball flight and no ballooning. Slices slice less also.
Great video, thanks👍🏻! I’m playing the Oban Kiyoshi Purple 65 gms 04 Flex shaft in my driver, 100-105 mph...what’s the difference compared with the Raijin in the video? And the trickiest one...when do you open i Sweden😁🇸🇪??!!
Great stuff as usual guys. My swing speed is similar, and yardage overall is a bit lower on average with more run than carry compared to Allen, which with some bunkering on my home course at around 230 from the tee is .....annoying.... I have a feeling that I am far from optimal with my driver. I tend towards a high flight, although when I go after one the low hooky one appears.....Time to hit the balls with some electronic feedback I think!
Awesome video. Great to watch these when swing speeds are comparable to your own. I have the original EPIC from two years ago, how much of a difference between the two EPIC’s? Thanks as always guys
Could you please list the the differences between the Epic Flash and the Epic driver. I am in slight fade /straight driver of the ball and draw bias / weight adjustment are of great interest to me. Thanks for TX
Great job guys! I am in the 100-105mph range and seem to have very similar ball flight as Big Al 270 (solid draw with some hooks and blocks mixed in) so this was very relevant to me. I tried the 10.5 deg epic flash with stock shaft last week. I didn't notice more ball speed or yards than with my 9.0 deg G30. Do you think lowering flash loft would help or maybe just different shaft? I seem to remember trackman reading a bit more spin than AL (2600-2800rpm). Thanks again!
I finally got on a launch monitor and found my club head speed is 100-105 as well, 146 ball speed but 4500-5000 spin. I had the pro tell me to crank the loft down because my launch was like 17* + with a 10.5 degrees head. Now my launch is about 10-12 and 2600-3000 spin. The shaft in my driver wasn't fit for me, but he believed i need something with a slightly stiffer tip.
Would love to see a head to head cobra F9 & miz st190 in Al’s hands to see what findings he might see. Al’s is so close to the masses with his SS but he adds the consistency - would be a video that would get tons of views
Hey Ian, watching you over the past year had really made me want to become a club fitter like you. Do you have any advice on how to start up and how to really do it the right way? Thanks from Florida! 🌞
Wish I could get a fitting from you guys as my spin is 3200 roughly with driver and my last fitting said that was ok 🤷♂️ Currently using Mavrik Max with a Ventus 7x Black
Ian your knowledge of the fitting process is unprecedented. What is your thought on Mark C's dilemma that sliding the rear weight around only moves the CG and now reduces MOI and really encourages you to hit the ball on the same side of the head that you moved the weight to?
That is exactly my two misses at just a slightly higher ball speed than I have. My last skytrak session I noticed the spin axis tilt being a bit much causing the over draw. I am playing a Diamana Kai’li 70 in a G400 or Rogue SZ with ADDI 6 and the spin gets a bit high at times. Does the Rajin match well with either head?
Ian as usual knowledge in fitting is outstanding.I have nearly exact same numbers as Al would say little bit more aggressive on loading on downswing, even working to get more on left side, tend to be.toe, striker as well I am playing Rogue max 65 stiff but certainly not getting results as Al is.Play rogue Sub Zero @ 10 degree as tend to overdraw with normal headcan you please suggest a shaft to try!!thanks
@@clubchampionmedia I have Epic original and have always set it to Draw, but I often have toe strikes. They still usually hit fairway start right with a draw but do lose some distance on these ones..... I also have a negative angle of attack but after 30 years of playing hard to kick this habit. Epic spins a lot less (but still in the 3000's) for me and get reasonable distance with a Mamiya Proforce VST Red(which has been a revelation in regards to dispersion)... Hey guys! I really like the Matt and Al combo. The more vids the better. It’s gonna be awhile until I can get back out on the course 🇨🇦
I like the in depth reviews of a new product. With the '19 driver intros alone, your video roadmap will take you into the spring!

This is exactly the kind of video I’ve been looking for.

Just picked up a bargain Epic Flash to replace the GBB Epic which I love, doing the self fit thing. Let’s see if it out performs the favourite!
Enjoyed watching Al swing as I can relate to his swing speed and shorter back swing. I wish I could relate to his distance.

Just rewatched this one. Moved the weights toward strike point, interesting, Have to try that on my toe strikes.
Great video I’m a lefty and a slicer sounds like the Epic Flash might be a good fit for me
This guy has good consistency.

Thomas Veal not yet.
Great video, would love to see Alhit all the other new drivers and compare them to his new "benchmark"
Great video and a lot of information. I am trying to eliminate the left side of the fairway with my Epic Flash driver
Thats amazing learned a lot there thanks i just wish we have a facility like yours here in the Philippines.
Awesome. Love your videos. Keep up the great work.
Very interesting. So by adjusting head to fade bias helps with the toe strikes?
Al is the man!

Thanks Ian!
I use a devotion 6 03 in epic SZ at 95 mph hitting several degrees up and smooth. Great combo. Is the Raijin as close as "they" say?

So just confirming you guys move the tracking slide to the toe if you are getting more toe strikes and vice versa if getting more heel strikes????
And you would start central when starting a fitting?
In some cases yes, but not always. In this case it was also beneficial in reducing the hook miss for Allen

Great video guys...what shaft did u end up with Al driver and what weight was it?
Great fitting. Was the final shaft an expensive upgrade in price? It was fun watching how he progressed and now we can call him Mr 280. LOL
Around ~$200, good shaft but important to note the no-upcharge shaft list is quite good as well
Great video as always fellas. Would the stock tensei av shaft be similar to the fujikura that Al first hit. Cheers Richard
