Saw a russian guy in ACB hit this so I started trying it in practice. I've been calling it a reverse inverted arm triangle, but an arm-in RNC is a much easier way to name the move lol.
With this arm in choke you move the Seatbelt DOWN into his armpit. But can it be done if you move it UP to his neck and move the other side arm up and choke?
Will an "arm-in" provide more torque when choking the carotid artery than just choking the neck? similar to what an arm-in guillotine or a triangle? thank you for the video.
Hello! Just the neck in the rear naked is ideal. The arm-in version is great when the person has good defense, but they lift their arm putting their bicep very close to the ear.
So im not a bjj guy I havent trained formally except for a few seminars but i have in my head a use for this arm in rear naked choke . my scenario is someone tries to take you down you sprawl and rotate around their back put your arms in this choke fall over the front of them pulling their whole body ass over. To their back to the Matt and complete the choke. Im not sure if the set up would work or not can anyone give advice or if im unclear ask me to explain how i mean it
Check out “Forward roll- taking the back from turtle position” about 1 minute in he shows what I think you’re talking about. Also watch my video “Simple and Unexpected Head-and-Arm CHOKE from Turtle | BJJ/MMA” Thanks for watching!
I see you guys in Jiu-Jitsu putting their arm up when a guy has their back thinking that there's no such thing as an arm and naked choke. I don't know if it would actually work but I've always thought it would work for some people with enough strength.

I do it the opposite way. Connect on the other side of his body so choking hand comes from under hook. Works a lot better for me
Whaaaaaat!?!? Gotta try this 👍

What qualifies as long reach? How many cm / inches?
I am 72 inches tall and have a 76.5in reach. I would say it works well for anyone that has long arms for their weight class.

She’s not exactly having a walk in the park as it is but if he just put his right hand over his left forearm it would then be a real problem for her.
