Lucky client. I wish more than anything I could find a therapist/psychologist like him. As deep thinking and inspiring as him. Someone to help you actually grow and change and a chance to become wiser
Normally I agree with Dr.Peterson, but I don't understand why taking a different path has to be as or more difficult. Perhaps one of the 'wrong paths indicators is that it is extremely difficult. I would be more closely defining goals then investigating whether other paths could also reach that goal, then try the one that uses the least of my time and resources.
Yea one of my favorite sayings is “the hard way is usually the right way” because it usually comes with more mental strength or at least it teaches u how to be stronger mentally even if u keep quitting stuff don’t go with the easier route go with something at least equal in difficulty
I guess what I'm saying is why should the amount of difficulty, whether easy or hard, be the focus? What about working towards goals more effectively. Why hack thru brush when a path already exists?
@@christibritton4542 I find it funny how 90% of all criticism about Jordan Peterson is people being way too literal about every word he says He just meant you shouldnt let yourself aim lower than you're capable of, only equally or up, he's not talking albout literal physical difficulty like how much of a ass your job is
@@christibritton4542 he means like: if you're a bricklayer and wants to give up, then perhaps you should now try to be engineer Not like, if you're a bricklayer now, perhaps you should try for a sewers cleaning job
I'm so tired of the people who say, "He was one month away from success! If only he had persevered!" No one knows the future.
Was gonna quit drinking, but he’s right I ain’t no quitter!

And tough!
Going down the wrong path is ultimately leading you to the correct one. Its still advancement towards the goal and part of the process

Because if you just change paths for one easier porpusefully then that's definitely giving up for the lazier thing
