If I connect to City Fibre full fibre, do I still need to plug the broadband cable into the router & the phone socket?

The time has come I give official notice on my 28 rolling contract with talk talk... No one seems to know if they are still in business?, no Internet, no service, no communication about complaints for six months or more when they tried to stop customers leaving in court An official complaint has now been made to offcom to terminate its trading telco license and file for presumably bankruptcy? Best option would be to sell the remaining customers to Vodafone before there is nothing to sell. The remaining customers who have had money wrongly taken from them should contact the company or insolvency company. All agencies have enough of this failing. Company!
