My dad took me to his hometown when I was 14. I'm 29 now. And this music is the only way I can still connect to my heritage. This song makes me cry every single time. It always has even before I knew why. I actually had to beg my dad, he had a talk with me and I told him that I didn't know how I could continue to live missing a place I had never been. Tearing up just thinking about it now. The most beautiful damned place on Earth and I'll never be able to thank him enough for sharing it with me.

John's for hours on end, I may get to visit for the first time this year if all goes well... my chance to finally discover those soft water joys

My dad is a Newfie and gets home sick if doesn't go home every other year at least. I gave him 1200$ to go back to the rock. I haven't been to Newfoundland sincey Nan and Pop passed in 2014 and 2015. Hurts too much to drive by my summer home. And know its not my family home anymore.😢
