What a wonderful walk that was Dave, taking in the history of those super historic pubs and glorious churches and delightful cottages. The magnitude of all that history is just incredible. I loved that plaque indicating the Duke of Monmouth on the thatched property, and that Cherry cottage was magical. The landscape and the glorious surrounding countryside was fabulous. Some times it is hard to take in just how wonderful Nature is, when you see these sort of images, of the beauty of the countryside at its best. Seeing your playful romp with Logan shows just how intelligent and receptive he is. Many thanks Dave and of course Logan. 😄🦮
Being a local, I have visited Ringwood many times over the years. In recent years, every few weeks I have visited a friend who lives there. Yet I have never encountered most of the nooks and crannies you have looked out for us in this video. Full marks and a gold star!
Another wonderful walk! Just loved all of those thatched cottages!!!😍 So beautiful each & ever one! Loved that scene in the begining w/ the canal, the little bridge, the weeping willow & the moored barge. So gorgeous! Not so sure Logan was much impressed w/ that dog training coarse.😄 I think he much prefers just a plain ol' sand pit to do his zoomies thru!!!😂🐕 I'lll never forget our little Pandy always eating the Raspberries off of our plants. She'd pucker up her lips like a little bear & just suck them right off! All the lower branches were always kept cleaned off by little miss Pandy!!!🐼🐶😄😘
I only learned of you this morning when I was walking in the forest with Fraser, my whippet. I met another dog walker who asked me if I followed your UA-cam channel. Of course, on returning home, I immediately checked you out. I was delighted this was the first video I happened upon. Fortunately years ago I lived in Ringwood and this was a trip down memory lane. I have recently moved back down to Hampshire after many years, and Fraser and I are often looking for new walks.
Hi Lynn. Great to hear of another Whippet on the Forest! Do check out the "New Forest Walk" playlist on the channel - I am sure you will find some super walks for Fraser to enjoy!
Another super walk I have never done, but will be doing with my Highcliffe rambling group sometime in the future. I'm sure Archie my Border Terrier will love the dog agility park area.
Really enjoyed this walk Dave and good to see Logan (and you!) being put through their paces on the dog training course. I'm currently walking a dog as a Cinnamon Trust volunteer in Kingston village and will retrace some of your route on my next outing. Thanks again.
Another brilliant walk Dave ... some beautiful thached buildings and lots of history ... I see you too did some zooming around in the dog play area with Logan ... enjoyed your video ...
Great Walk tonight Dave. When are we going see you on a paddle Board. Logan and Blackberries? Must be a Sunderland thing. Thanks for a entertaining walk . Pat on the head for Logan from his fans in the North East .
Thanks Leslie. Not sure about a paddle board but I have been doing some filming recently and...well I'll just say that Logan certainly gets his feet wet!
Hello Dave, I enjoyed that walk it took me back to my first fishing trip when I was twelve years old. I remember catching the bus with a friend to Ringwood. I still get excited when I see the Avon I think that ford might have been where we fished. All the best Peter
Thanks Peter. The Avon is one of my favourite rivers & next year Logan & I are hoping to do the entire Avon Valley Path - but we will be splitting it up in 4 sections / videos!
I love Ringwood and have eaten in that beautiful old restaurant years ago. That was a interesting route you took. Full of interest and beauty. A couple of years ago I walked the old trackbed from there to West Moors. From there, a bus back to Ringwood.
At some stage during the Summer, I am hoping to do a video walk along part of the "Castleman Corkscrew" disused railway line from Ringwood, through the New forest, to Brockenhurst.
I’m intrigued by the way Logan likes the brambles. I had a similar problem in my last house with some miscreant dumping their full dog poo bags over my wall. It’s damned annoying to say the least.
Yet another interesting walk. One question do you run and lead organise walks ? I am relatively new to the area and would value such. Guide books are great but following someone who has local knowledge is so much better. Thanks for the videos.
Thank you. Alas, I don't lead or organise walks. I always put a map of the walk up on screen early on and if there is an aspect to look out for (ie a footpath sign that is hidden from view) then I will mention it in the video. Most of the walks are circular and , with the combination of an OS map and the video, should be easy to follow. The objective of the videos is really to highlight our wonderful countryside to folk, providing some interesting things to look at along the way that they might not normally notice. I hope you enjoy your new surroundings and have fun exploring. It is certainly a pretty part of the world.
@@DaveFord thanks for responding and yes your maps are valuable and I was able to follow you on an OS map as you did the Ringwood walk. Thanks again Rocky
@@DaveFord you could invite him to join the BE walking group (that's when & if Covid ever stops!🙄). If I lived in England I know I would love to take part in those!!!

Thank you. Logan quite enjoyed his time in the "dog playground"!
How did I not know about this doggy play area? ❤Logan❤
I think we both enjoyed playing in there!

Watching your videos is really making me consider moving to Hampshire! It is so beautiful!
There are some very pretty parts to it for sure! Thanks for watching.

I think Logan found the tunnel a bit tricky - the surface was quite slippery!
This video is so lovely to watch.
Thank you Sarah and indeed thanks for watching.
Thanks Dave. Enjoyed the walk. Very helpful as I will be looking after a whippet in Ringwood in September.
Thank you. I hope that you have a great time looking after the Whippet!
I used to to live just around the corner from the white hart! Miss living there loads
It is a great town for sure.

Yes..... I think it is fair to say that Logan enjoyed testing out the "dog play" area!
Thank you Dave and Logan, what an interesting walk, so many things to look at on the way. Loved the thatched cottages.
Thank you Ann. Hope you are keeping well.
Thank you for the beautiful walk. I am thinking to go and stay at Ringwood this summer for a few days
Thank you. I hope you enjoy your visit to Ringwood.

Logan certainly enjoyed it!

Thank you Nigel. Hope you get some good weather when you get around to doing the walk!
Nice walk. I pass Ringwood on the way to Bournemouth several times a year, I must stop and have a look around one day.
It is an interesting place to visit for sure.
Great stuff Dave! and the historical bits of info are always interesting 👍
Glad you enjoyed it

Thank you Norman. Logan can certainly recommend the "dog activity area" for your dog!
I live in ringwood
Another great vid! Love the Logan zoomies sections as well. Just subscribed.
Thank you and indeed welcome to the channel!
