I'm pretty sure the location based automations don't run in the background. They just send you a notification which you can tap on to run the shortcut.

Hello Brandon. I’m trying to download “meet me halfway and more routine”, but I’m not having any luck!? It’s grayed out where “morning routine” but I’m on iPhone XS MAX, does that make a difference?? Thank you for your timely response

But know I‘ve got problems to install the “Shortcut“ Safari Auto Scroll.
I‘ve installed it like You‘ve shown it in the clip.
But when I can adjust the speed in Miliseconds, then nothing happens.
What am I doing wrong?

I tried using the MovieCuts shortcut but first it asked for my iCloud Drive and then it asked for some Key that I don’t know how to get or what it is. I’d really like to use this shortcut because I’m alwayssss looking this stuff up and it’s really cool, do you think you can help me??
You can bypass not being able to share automations by making a shortcut and then have the automation run the shortcut.
Then you share the shortcut and it’s only minimal work to be done on setting up the automation

Wow, just wow, stoped using iOS for like 3 years and now I have an iPhone 11, and it’s the first time I see this, (especially the automations part) its just sooo useful, I liked the alarm one, I replicated it myself. Would it be possible for you to build a Shortcut that will Translate English to Russian and Cut & Paste BOTH the English & Russian text into WhatsApp to a specific contact? I need both languages in there so I know what I wrote and so the person I'm communicating with (that only speaks Russian) understands as well.
It says SMD 4.0.3 is out, but how do you actually upgrade to it? Whenever I run 4.0.2 it won’t actually lead to where you update the shortcut.
Brandon Butch, there is a bug in the morning automation. I made it tell me the date and some weather information . Then speak it in Dutch. This works fine in the shortcuts app. But when the automation triggers when my alarm is stopped, then it will read my own typed text in Dutch but the Date and Weather will all be in English. Can’t figure out how to fix it, it just all seems to be an unknown bug?

Is there a way to make a shortcut that disables all notifications so for example while I’m playing pubg or cod mobile I don’t get the pop up on the top of the screen?
SMD currently only works for some sites as the owner is trying to get it compatible with iOS 13

Hello, I wonder if you can help me? I made my own carplay automation after being inspired. However, even with a 5 second delay and action go play through carplay, the spoken text starts but quickly stops/plays intermittently. When I open up the automation and then press the play button it works fine? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

How do I get Siri to read Reminders more fluidly? I have a Morning Briefing Shortcut that tells me the weather, current date, upcoming events for the day, and reminders with a due date of today. However, if there's more than one reminder - it's read all jumbled together. Any ideas to get a pause between tasks?
