Hi, if I am not wrong, it also says, that you can allow it once you used shortcuts once, executing one of the standard shortcuts. After that, go back to the Settings for Shortcuts and you should be able to "Allow Untrusted Shortcuts". ;))
on the subject of Siri is it possible from across the room to differentiate which Siri you’re talking to? I mean if I say Siri start a timer for 15 minutes and it goes off and my hands are unavailable for the moment & I try and say “Siri turn off timer” frequently between my iPhone and my iPad one will keep sounding the timer alert and the other one keeps telling me that all my timers are off. if I want to say Siri where are you I want to be able to select which Siri I’m talking to. I tried to give them different voices so at least I would know which one was responding but because of the synchronization features I just end up changing the voice back-and-forth and they both have the same voice which ever the last one that I’ve chosen is.
Great channel Davids! Might be stupid questions but I’m in Australia and it would be better (obviously) if I buy from the Aussie site. Shipping and exchange rates would be a NIGHTMARE. Do you have affiliation with other country’s amazon store and (yes finally my questions) does your shortcut and your channel’s affiliation work with them, ie Australia in particular? What I am trying to do is if my iPhone is near a particular Wi-Fi it would trigger Alexa to turn on all the lights. I don’t know if this is doable, but I am hopeful.
I am very computer and iPhone literate but when it comes to creating shortcuts I’m the worst. I wanted to try and create an app that would record my weight and body fat% each time I weigh myself (I weigh myself weekly). I would enter my start weight and fat% and each week when I enter the two figures (i.e. 205.3 pounds 20.5% fat) it would calculate my weight loss/gain. I’d like the history of the weigh ins by date if possible. Not sure of that can be done. Thanks

For some reason, I’m not able to select “allow untrusted shortcuts” on my phone. I have an IPhone 10XS running 13.6.1

Hi one thing is to go into iCloud and look for any iPhone backups you have made. Then delete all of them except the latest one that you last made.

I think you have to run anyone of your shortcuts to be able to allow untrusted shortcuts.

I have Amazon Scan downloaded but when tell Siri Amazon Scan it doesn't open the app it searches the web. Any ideas on how to correct this issue?
