Hi there. First of all, very nice video and presentation! As a previous owner of GT200, GTS250 and now on, a GTS300 HPE Yacht Club, testing all screen sizes, I can truly say that the small flyscreen (2nd one on the video) is the best for having a bit of protection without losing top speed, which is necessary especially when driving on the highway. I won't say anything for the first one, it's only style for me, nothing more but it's nice. The medium one, gives you less fatigue indeed but in my case (1.84 tall) the wind goes onto my head, makes it buffeting a little and the noise is quite disturbing. As for the top speed, the scooter can barely go on 110 km/h. The tall one is excellent only if you ride inside the city blocks or even on the avenue. Coverage and protection against cold weather is top notch! The words ''top speed'' have no place at all in here..The most dangerous thing with that is the fact that when driving in foggy or rainy conditions, visibility reduces dramatically, resulting on a very risky situation. Plus the gusty winds-feels like a windsurf. But this is me. Hope this helps. Have a nice scooter riding to all! Be safe!🙂👍
Wish I watched this video before I bought the small flyscreen. It acts exactly as described, but while I don't mind the wind, the noise profile is completely different than without. I'm 1.74m and it sounds like a too loud jet engine (and I'm riding with earplugs). Gonna buy the medium one and hope for the best. Thanks for the detailed description!
I have this same issue with the noise. I'm astonished how much worse the shorter screen makes it. I'm very interested to hear your experience with the medium, I'm thinking of going this route. Did it fix the noise issue for you?
I also made the mistake of buying the small one. Puts the wind right at my helmet and it’s loud as heck. (I am 6’). Also Interested to hear how the medium went for you.
Thank you for the comparison because I’ve been STRUGGLING with indecision. They sound good in theory but I hate the height of the BV 350 stock version & where it hit on a test drive. Are they easy to install & take off? I don’t LOVE the coolness factor, so icing on the cake would be pretty straightforward.
Hi there, thanks for the video. I currently own the new GTS 300 HPE2 from 2023 SuperSport and during winter I bought myself the Tucano Urbano Streamlined gloves to keep my hands significantly warmer. Now I am contemplating whether to get a medium sized wind shield to keep away the wind at higher speeds. My question is - what is the distance in cm between the brake lever and the inner side of the screen? I am just wondering whether it would be possible to ride together with both the gloves and the shield. For this I need to know whether the gloves would reach the wind shield and rub against it. I would highly appreciate if you could share your thoughts on that. Greetings from Sofia, Bulgaria :)
Hi! We don’t have a bike in the building right now with a medium windscreen but we’d guess there is about 3 inches of room in that gap. Plenty of room for gloves. Thanks for watching!
Got a small suggestion next time you do a review or overview of a scooter. Maybe put a full faced helmet in the storage area under the seat to show us from afar how well helmets will fit. I’m not close enough to a Vespa dealer to take my helmet and try it out. I have a large Shoei full faced helmet and am wondering if I can make it fit. I don’t believe in hanging the helmet on the side by the straps, because some tallywacker can come by and snip it off. My presidential self will be forever grateful. Thanks
Honestly I have no idea! Partly because I’ve never tried riding every one until (nearly) empty, and partly because scooters are so cheap to fill it just doesn’t cross my mind. Maybe… 3-5 MPG at worst with the largest screen? But that’s just a guess. Can’t lie to you! I’m still going 120 miles before the light comes on on my own GTS with the cruiser windscreen which is the same distance I got without it on. Thanks for watching!
Really useful vid. Thank you. I have the same issue as Dima G (below) with the shorter screen making it really noisy to ride. Will the medium screen overcome this problem?
It all depends on where the wind is directed. I made a mistake in this video and said the small screen throws air into my eyes. For me the small screen actually makes the wind hit me in the neck. I haven’t grown ears there yet so it’s not loud. The medium is the one that sends air directly into my eyes and ears at lower speeds (10-40mph) and that is quite a bit louder unless I have a full face on.

Totally agree. Riding in the tri-state area of NYC, the tall windshield makes the bike shake on the highway. Think lost 5-10 mph topspeed.
Thanks Andrew! Just bought a 2023 GTS 300 Super Tech and I miss being in Portland where I could just swing by and check things out!
Great bike! Congrats!

Thank you for the succinct summary of the windscreens. Only other comparison is in German w auto generated subs that don’t totally make sense
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching.

You’re welcome. Thanks for watching. And yeah you’ll need just a 17mm wrench to install and remove.
There should definitely be a size in between Small & Medium. That 7.5 inch jump in height seems kind of silly.
Absolutely agree! We were joking about there being a “Medium Sport” size screen while editing. Thanks for watching!
I agree too. Many people cut it down.

Welke heb je genomen? En wat is je advies?

Good idea. I’ll add it. Thanks!
Full face helmets doesn’t fit under the seat.
Thanks for your excellent videos. Any approx figures on the MPG penalty for each of these windscreens?

Tall screen so much better, keeps wind off, rain off, cold off.
Thanks for weighing in.
Is it true the Vespa windscreen for the GTS pre-HPE do not fit the 2023 HPE Vespas?
Correct. They’re slightly different and will rub on the headlight bezel.
Great video 👍 greetings from Poland 🛵😎
Thanks for watching! Have fun out there in Poland!
Thank You…
👏👏👏
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching.
Lol last scooter ur in a bank lol 😆
Haha! Too bad it’s not bulletproof!
Nice video. Subbed.
Thanks for watching.
