Far better than any windshield instructions I seen come with any windshield I've ever bought! I always tap in the expanding bolts with a mallet before I push in and tighten. I love your videos, very instructional!
Thanks for this great tutorial, Mitch! It was an IMMENSE help putting my Faco Twin Screen together. You give much better and easy to follow instructions!
Nice videos - One little question or comment though: When I put my Faco Twin Screen together yesterday, I noticed that the instructions for putting the rod pieces together, had placed the metal cone(?) piece on the other side of the tube, nearer the expansion insert. You've placed yours near the head of the bolt, by the lock washer. Is this okay or does it really matter? Thank you!
Thanks Mike! Oh no I filmed this in Texas few months ago and haven't got time to edit it... I have so many videos waiting to edit and post :) I have bunch of stuff to film scooters here in Hawaii really soon :)
Just note to everyone, the final step is not properly done. You can't just push and tighten it. The fins must go all the way in, and for that you need more force. You need to hit the socket wrench with hand or a hammer a little bit to force it in first (you can see how it's wiggling on the video during tightening on the beginning, it should not wiggle). I did not do it, and basically this video mislead me. Now my plastic at the both ends is scratched because the screw was not all the way in and when turning the steering wheel it got scratched. It wasn't Vespa in my case which obviously has more clearance and this guy didn't have the issue, but it was Piaggio Medley which uses this same principle but has less clearance.
How do I remove the screws and the tube together once installed? It seems that the tube which expands once it gets into the handlebars it cannot be removed. How can I remove not only the screws but also the tube as well ?
Oh no I wish I did... the set up is same thing with older fly.. if you have a newer fly... I assume mount will connect to the mirrors ? like Buddy 125 video I did here ua-cam.com/video/XlfgZ9PaUdY/v-deo.html
Hi Mitch, do you know how can I reduce shimming effect on my vespa? It happens all the time I release the throttle. I don't have this windshield, I do have the smaller one. Thank you in advance.
Hi like your videos I was wondering if I switch out my air filter and put a free flow air filter on a 150cc scooter and up jet would I need to buy a new sauce or can I still use the stock exhaust :)
I would put aftermarket exhaust on the bike and a E3 Spark plug The Spark plug will also help the Performance, a cold air filter Also help the Performance, If you want more top in speed use dr pulley Slider weights At least 12g
Anyone know of any 'testing' of windshields? As in their effectiveness of actually reducing wind and noise? Any dangers? Like going 65 mph and crosswinds, with a windshield? Thanks for any feedback!
Having recently installed the Faco Twin Screen on our two Vespa GTS, I've noticed some disturbance from crosswind in 30km/h winds. Not unbearable - the windscreen does help mitigate high winds - just be cautious and slow when necessary! Headwind is definitely reduced with our twin screens which offer a 420mm height (with extension) - for me at 6'0, most of the buffeting is negated as well as helmet noise. I've also noticed a bit more top end speed, as well as what feels like a little more help for acceleration on hills and from stop. The scooter definitely felt a bit odd at first, because the windscreen takes the beating and you can sometimes feel a little resistance. I've not had a rock or anything kick up yet - but I'd rather it the screen than me. I've had a stone shoot out from under a lorry and hit my helmet going 60mph and it left a good ding in my visor. Anyway - windscreens are good - proven to increase efficiency.

The original windshield is different. How do I take off the original windshield? Can I take off all windshield, without open the single parts?
Thanks for this. A lifesaver.

Do you have a video of a small/medium windscreen install on a Piaggio Fly?

Hello man, can u use your vespas all year long? No winter where u live?
Yes can ride all year long!
@@MitchsScooterStuff dope. I'm from the mid of italy. I can't face winters anymore. I need a perpetual summer :)
Hi man can the vespa gts 300 2015 horn cover be changed to the newer model horn cover , do they fit?
I think from 2014 - 2018 covers can be interchangeable. The 2019 and 2020 have completely different mounting points and overall shape.
Chris Roberts thanks bro
Wonderful abs. Thank you very much!

The hardware is incorrectly installed in this video.
Yes, I think so too. The spring washer should go on bolt first. But otherwise helpful video.
Good asmr
