My daughter and one of her friends worked in the nursery at his church. I attended there one Sunday as well. I really enjoyed the service! I had been sick and my daughter told Pastor Davey that. He came to our home with a bag of food from Maggianos!! He was so kind! He even asked if I needed help around the house with anything! I was absolutely heartbroken and devastated when I saw this story about his wife!!! I’m so glad he has found love and forgiveness!! May the Lord continue to bless you, your family and your church!! 🙏🏽❤️

It has been so many years but when I hear your story, I still mourn for my sister. My brother-in-law was a pastor too. At 10:00 am while he was at work, an intruder broke into my sister''s home where she and 2 of her 3 young children were starting their day. My sister was raped and strangled to death. There was no reason. Her babies were unharmed physically. I shove it out of my mind. Why? She was so giving and loving. WHY?! Her daughter, my niece, died last year 30+ years after her mom. She doesn't remember her mom, my sweet sister. How do we forgive? I still miss my sister. Thank God I believe, but it is still so hard...like it was yesterday. My tears will never stop. The killer was never found.

And his pregnant wife and child were in the house alone? And he left later than usual for the gym. And their dog didn't deter her murder? And after the gym, he was in his vehicle outside his home for a long time talking to a friend, so he wouldn't wake them? I don't remember all the details anymore. That aside, I don't care where you live don't EVER think you're safe that's just foolish. I believe they only had one key and there was some reason why he left the door unlocked--I think he left her the key, I can't recall completely but there were a LOT of strange things. I have always thought he was involved somehow--Idk how--but somehow. As a believer/follower of Jesus Christ myself, I find it odd that he, a PASTOR, doesn't mention HIM one time in this interview. He spoke about Amanda but I don't think he mentioned his unborn daughter either. I could go further with other things that didn't make sense in this case but this is long enough already. This case always has me unsettled.

The Resonate Church dissolved back in 2019 that Pastor Davey Blackburn was at. I remember this story back in 2015, the couple had a starter home and the area was changing geographically in Indianapolis. He's a caring, giving, and loving person. I remember when the announcement came that him and Amanda were moving to Indianapolis. I was sad to see them leave but happy for them and the people they would bless. Davie came back to SC to speak at a conference a couple of months before she was killed.
