    Thank you!! I was kind of intimidated to try making a cup turner at home, but you explained it so well I’m headed to Lowe’s this morning to buy all the parts. My husband doesn’t know there’s going to be a project waiting when he wakes up today! ☺️ I’m going to have him watch the tutorial too!

    I watched this video and the previous video ages ago, but it seemed so intimidating.
    I’m back to the idea that I’d like to make a turner, and this time the info sunk in perfectly. Cant wait to attempt this soon. Thanks for sharing

    My lovely husband found the videos in your Chanel, He supports me 100%. Saw me struggling with the turners from hobby lobby and went to HD and got all the parts and pieces! Came home with a big smile and many bags and told me he will be building me the turners for my birthday!!! Thank you Jeff and Sandy for the tutorials!!!

    jeff i would just like to suggest that when you attach your boards on the lines and the shelf in addition to thr nails i would also use wood glue along the bottom of each piece before you set it on the line it will increase the strength of your joint and the nails won’t be thr only thing securing it let it set over night and you would be hard pressed to get it apart

    • @SandysOrganizedChaos
      @SandysOrganizedChaos  4 роки тому +1

      Jeff suggested that. But I didn’t want it to be glued incase we needed to pull it apart for repairs. And it’s just sitting here so I didn’t really think it needed it. 🤗

  • @Joseslopez1987

    Hi Jeff,
    Excellent tutorial first and foremost!
    I will be using your version for a quad turner and I have some questions that I hope you can answer.
    1) What would be the recommended markings for my boards on the base if I’m doing a Quad turner?
    2) Not sure I caught where the lamp cable was used in the video?
    3) Can all 4 turners be connected to the same switch?

    • @SandysOrganizedChaos
      @SandysOrganizedChaos  4 роки тому +2

      1) I like to have 6” on each side of each turner, so figure a foot of board length for each motor. The first one will be 6” from the edge. For a 4-turner you’ll want to use a 4’ board. The holes should be at 6”, 18”, 30”, and 42”. If you’re limited on space, you could probably put them closer together, but we liked having 6” one each side.
      2) The lamp cable is what feeds power to the switch.
      3) All 4 turners could be on the same switch, but then you won’t be able to control them individually. It will be all on or all off at the same time.
      -Jeff

  • @heathergomos882
    @heathergomos882 3 роки тому

    First, thank you for making this video. You’re both just amazing people. I have a problem with it rotating a couple times and then it stops and goes the other way. It just keeps going back and forth. I thought maybe I had the wrong switch for it, so I wired the cord right to one of the motors and it still does it. I’ve had a couple different people look at it that have worked with different types of motors and they said I wired it correctly and didn’t understand why it was doing that. Have you ever had that happen before?

    • @SandysOrganizedChaos
      @SandysOrganizedChaos  3 роки тому +1

      The motors will stop and reverse direction if there’s any type of resistance. I’ve had this happen because the nail I used to attach the PVC to the motor shaft was too long or came loose. I would start by seeing if the motor does this while not installed on the turner. If it does, there’s a problem with the motor. If not, reinstall the motor and see what is making it stop and reverse direction.
