      @@kg5tjv877 I've been running these cheap microwave motors for about 3 years now. While they get hot, they won't catch fire anytime soon. Don't touch them, don't get burned. The 6 I have, have been running about 80% of the past 3 years... still have my house. I do have to say though, I bought a rotisserie motor one time, and one time only. Have used these motors for my tumbler turner going on 4 years now. Have had no fires nor sparks. I have my motors on the back side of the box though, where they get plenty of air circulation. They are constantly running approximately 20 hours a day if not more. No issues!

      Assists in drying the epoxy on decorated yeti, hogg, steel magnolia, ozark trails, etc... evenly. You need a multi-cup turner if you want to do several at the time as you "should" leave your cup turning for at least 12 hours before setting it aside for 48-72 more hours to cure.

      @@annmillwood1221 Thanks for Addressing a FIRE HAZARD. ALL Motors are Not The Same. Alot or Most of these Small Motors are DESIGNED for Appliances such as Microwave Oven Turntables that Do Not Run Continuously. And Certainly Not for 12 -18 Hours that some of the Tumbler Turners do. They most Certainly Can Heat to The Point of FIRE. While UA-cam is Great, some Projects are Very Dangerous since you need No Qualification to Post a UA-cam Video. Rotisserie Motors are a Much Better Choice for these Tumbler Turners and are Very Affordable......Lowes Sells a Rotisserie Kit that includes all of the Hardware you need (Electrical Cord, On/Off Switch and a Stainless Steel Rod) for about $35.00. You just need to build a Box to Mount it on. The Good Thing it is a SAFE SOLUTION and will likely last for Many Years. And The Bonus is, The Odds of it Catching Fire is Highly Unlikely. Thanks for Your Comment and I wish You Well.

      I used a 1/2 x 1/2 x .257 nylon bushing which you can get at Home Depot. To attach the bushing to the motor I used a 9/32 drill bit to make the inner bore larger. Then I took a #6 x 1” screw and nut. Drill a 3/16 hole through the 3/4 make to female adapter and the nylon insert to get the same hole through both pieces. On the motor you will have to drill the existing hole to 3/16 to accept the #6 screw.

    What are the measurements of the box you constructed?

    • @JkCanvas
      @JkCanvas  5 років тому

      I used 3/4 cabinet grade plywood. The overall diminsions are 48"L X 8"W x 8"H. The holes are 1 1 1/4 with the center being 2' from the top lip not lid. I cut a 1 1/8' slot to allow for the turning motors to drop in. I am hoping to get a set of printable plans developed and available. Hope this helps. Thank you for stopping by.
