As the person who made the English Vega title logo graphic, I just got a kick out of seeing my own contribution work that I made be put onto an actual cartridge.
Everyone can say they made a game they copied saying that I made the game in question am not very good as louds of glitches and soft locks 😂😂 joke in both meanings of the ward 😂
So cool! I miss the days where all games were embedded in a tiny cartridge and had a beautiful logo on the front. So much nostalgia from this video, great work!
A detailed explanation on how to put the mods into the cartridges would be awesome, it’s a little bit overwhelming to use all these programmes at once. Many thanks for the video Blisy!
Here's a dumb tip, but in the shots of you cutting the labels, you cut INTO the sticker. If you put the ruler on the other side, when you make a mistake, the blade goes to the unused space instead of the image you're trying to cut out and it's less prone to mistakes that way
I've always wanted to get the hardware needed to flash all my favorite roms onto blank carts! I'm not sure what's stopping me, maybe I will make a project of it one day
Those are really neat, great job. Funnily enough I’m planning on doing a bit of Pokémon GBA reflashing myself and most of the stuff for it has just come today.
I had a project for Gameboy Color and used the Epilogue GB Operator. I bought a Geek Tech Batteryless Save Flash Cartridge and Flashed my fixed ROM to it. First I took Legend of the River King 2 English version Gameboy Color cartridge and Dumped the ROM then ran it through the Gameboy ROM Analyzer for Windows and changed the cartridge type to 1EH and fixed the header. This enables Rumble that was programmed into the Japanese version and just needs to be opened on the English version because the code is already there. Then I Flashed it and can play with Rumble using the Epilogue GB Operator. Just set Rumble in Settings and use your favorite Rumble controller. The ROM also works on the Pow Kiddy V90 with the Pocket Go Firmware Update. The Pow Kiddy V90 has a motor inside and after the firmware update you get Gameboy Color Rumble. Great game. ❤😊
I have always wondered how this was done, didn't realize it was so simple. I wonder how they would do it for SNES. I want to flash my rom hacks on an SNES cart someday
Done in an afternoon and look better than my Pokemon GBA cartridges I've been playing since 2005 I didn't know were fake until a few weeks ago, very cool
This was a neat video. For the longest time I've always wondered how people made physical cartridges for hacked/fanmade Pokemon games. I remember seeing a gba cartridge for "Pokemon Chaos Black" online long ago and was like "HOW?!" since I knew it wasn't an official Nintendo game, but my kid brain was still dumbfounded on how someone made a physical cartridge for a fanmade game. Looks like I got my answer now!
I've been yearning for something like this and waddayaknoo, big bro made a TUTORIAL showcasing EVERY STEP?! Looks like I got my next project cut out for me :)
My favorite part in this video is where he says he doesn’t wanna support people selling illegal rims. But then he goes online and buys a bunch of mother three illegal.
I was literally looking at this like 2 weeks ago for distribution ROMs! also seeing my name in a scrolling text made me upgrade to blissey tier LUL (Vanity post)
I just purchased a gba cartridge that can take Gameboy color games so I can make a custom cartridge of crystal legacy. This video is going to help a lot with making a label for it.
I found someone on etsy who does custom gba rom hack carts, so I started talking with them about turning one of my own pokemon emerald hacks into a cart. I hope things go well, would love to have my own emerald hack as a physical cartridge.
I think it would be crazy if the legitimate 4th gen games recognized these and allowed you to Pal Park pokemon in Also imagine putting these in a goodwill box and someone finds them in a thrift store
I have never actually tested it, but I've always suspected that rom hacks for FRLG and RSE could be usable for the GBA Insertion in DPPt. Say, for example, an Inclement Emerald cartridge could let you find a Teddiursa in Lake Acuity due to Emerald allowing this type of thing.
I don't think they will let you, but I'm pretty sure you can trade to a real gen 3 game and then use that one to Pal Park them in. I haven't tried it yet myself but I've heard it works.
@@forrest8482 The real interesting test would be whether you can get the pokemon to home. As long as they know legal moves, they probably can, since all the game origin data gets overwritten during the Gen 3 -> 4 and then 4 -> 5 transfer process.
I just got started into finally archiving all my games from all those years because now that digital stores are closing I’m feeling a greater pull towards physical media but most of my games the labels are all ruined but I got a burnmaster and all that and I just built my first modded Gameboy Color 😊 but I’m so excited to play my first romhack I’m gonna start with Prism. I’ve never played Crystal but hear it’s great. So I got everything I can to flash the game to a cart but I don’t have a way to print or make stickers 😂 This new hobby is expensive but I’m having a lot of fun honestly with going through every single one of my boxes from my moves over the years and finding all my games 😂 I played Dave Mirra bmx for like 4 hours and then plugged it in and played all night till like 7:30 am oops I had a day off but I paid for it today lol
Cool now I can get distribution roms on cardridges. Time to sacrifise some cheap shovelware titles. Might be possible to do the same for the ds distribution roms
Hey Blisy, you mentioned that the patcher does change the save size for emerald and that we have to hexedit it for firered. I am trying to add my rom hack on a cartridge but the rom is based on pokemon ruby. Do you know at where in the Hexcode I can find it for Ruby? Thanks ahead!

Heyy sir i need help, how can you update the game on the cartridge when it gets a new version without losing save data on the game you played. hope this comment will be notice even this vid is 1yr old now❤
i tried the same with the vega i did also the part with hex editor and i cant save the game it opens a blue screen and says ' save failed. checking the back up memory please wait time required about 1 min' after one min says save error. i write the rom with 32mb and 1m flash. can somone from this community please help me?
So working with another similar fire red rom hack I tried manipulating the hex in the same area, but saving still doesn't work on the cart and leaves me with the "1M circuit board is not installed" message on start. Game plays fine but will not save on the cart.
I wonder if something similar is possible for DS games, disregarding the obvious option of R4 carts. There's so many great DS rom hacks out there these days.
So awesome!! I’ve been trying to put Pokémon Theta Emerald onto a bootleg cartridge I obtained a while back but can’t seem to figure it out it always fails when it attempts to flash to cart. At least I know it’s possible and I’m just a dummy lol.

Hi, could you please provide more information or a link to the IPS patcher that reduced save file size so you could write to this mother 3 cartridge? I have the same cartridge but the file is too big to overwrite to it! I’ve been watching you for a long time and any reply would be greatly appreciated
Could you help me figure this out for Pokemon Quetzal? I’m not entirely sure what options to use when flashing or if i patched correctly. If you get back to me, I can go into far more detail. Great video overall!
I have a save on Blazing emerald that I have on my retropie console and I plan on doing this, my only problem is transferring my save file over from retropie to the cartridge 😅
Hey ! Can I do it for other rom hacks games ? Will I have to shrink the save files for every rom hacks and is the technique different or is the HEX code technique always working for emerald romhacks ?
