This is BY FAR the benchmark MOOD tutorial on UA-cam. This video completely demystifies the whole thing in record time. Bravo, Brett!

Thanks! It's only because I needed a short, sharp, on the money tutorial myself. So, like everything in life, if you don't do it yourself ...

More useful in a studio / electronic production setting than on a stage in my opinion.

Being a noob on guitar I don't think I would know what the hell to do with it. Looks like hours of fun though. Thanks Brett.

This is the best demo for this pedal I have seen so far. I don't expect it to be surpassed. BTW... we have something in common, age spots on our hands... LOL!!!

I've studied a lot of these experimental pedals over the last few year, many from Chase Bliss, Catalinbread,( I own the csidman and the echorec) and several other pedal creators and while they are fun to noodle with , I really have a hard time seeing these quite expensive clever pedals having much of a real world live music application over and above regular reverb delay phase chorus pedals from the likes of boss and mxr.
Yes they are innovative but just can't see these being used on a gig in 99% of the crowds I play for, for adding texture to recording arrangements ? Maybe just a touch here and there but other than that ? Not much!! Now for the avant-garde ethereal soundscape music creator with the audiences who appreciate that style !? Absolutely, but with each pedal averaging $350 a pop unless you've got money to burn it's hard to justify that kind of outlay, just four of the most popular chase bliss pedals would put you back $1400, that's a whole lot of cash and you could get many more general useful pedals for that kind of spend, but if you've got the money go for it and enjoy.
Having said all that one again you've done an epic demo Brett.

I think they are for studio rather than live

June Rigler I'm in agreement experimental is this style of pedals forte although I know a couple of inde bands who use them live but it's more about creating a cacophony or a wall of sound, some progressive bands use them to good effect, I wonder what Pink Floyd or Genesis would have done with these had they been around at the time or even George Martin doing the White Album with the Beatles in Abbey Road.
Also I like the idea that you can recall preset settings via midi or usb so although they are a knob twiddlers dream plus you can store two sounds on board and recall your favourite ones, now that makes them way more useful.

Love that its Midi. The more pedals that come out with Midi the closer we come to Midi being standard. I could this being useful as a luxury item that could be accessed during a live show calling on a preset. George Martin could have gotten lost in the pedal for months and he undoubtedly would have incorporated some wackiness into albums by the buskers from liverpool.

Gary Clements anybody know what are the midi capabilities?
Eg. could all knobs be remotely controlled simultaneously over MIDI?

Fun toys for Guitarists. There’s gotta be a sack full of those on Santa’s sleigh.

... besides using it for a reverb or delay , ( not cheap ) how the hell can you use it in a song ?
On stage ? Yes it sounds fun for someone that doesn’t want to play songs and is in to screwing around with ambient music? Which I have no use for ..:

Probably best used as to make guitar samples on the drum sample machine. Or I've seen a lot of synth players use this

It appears you need a degree from MIT to work this pedal.
