    👏🏻 It was very interesting, I liked the way you experimenting, but can it be useful in real production? I mean isn’t it a bit limited in functions and hard to tweak it?

    • @demishellen
      @demishellen  Рік тому +3

      Yes can be limiting but what’s stopping a loop being created and used. 🙂 I would not normal make a kick and bass in the synth but more to show we can.
      Creativity is wide spectrum, we are only limited by ourselves. If it sounds good keep creating 😎

    There is a lot of thought and ideas into this patch. This might be a stupid question but I never really understood the benefit of multiple sequenced patches. Kevin Schroeder did a lot for Dune3. What are the main reasons for these types of patches? I'm used to having one type of sound per channel for my daw which I find allows more scope for control compared to 1 patch with multiple layers doing different things to it. I've always wondered this since I started music producing 3 years ago. The only benefit I can see is the sound design journey that takes things to a whole new level of understanding. Sound designing is my weakest aspect of music producing

      I make them to inspire ideas for other listening. But you can make loops that can be used in exactly the same way as an audio loop. But like Kevins patches that are sequenced, these show off the power and capability of the synth and again inspire ideas. How far can you push vital in it current form is something I do with every synth which in turn teaches you everything the synth can do. 👍🏼🙂

      @@demishellen Im constantly learning. I started a complete beginner 3 years ago. Learned what a daw is and how to use it, learn music theory, eq, compression and how to make a track. It's sound design I struggle with. That's one reason why I don't want any more synths until I get Serum and Dune 3 more. Sylenth Im ok with. Making a track I find the easiest thing

      I am a total amateur but gonna weigh in regardless: those kind of patches has 2 fantastic applications (benefits if you will) first of all these are fantastic for live performances and second thing these are extremely inspiring (at least in my case) because you instantly get ideas what to layer on top, helps you get in the mood, in the groove. I would literally create zero melodies with piano only because it simply does not inspire me but as soon as I lay my hands on some interesting patch everything changes and I get truly inspired.
