    Just ordered one:) I heard P3’s boost tap isn’t good cuz it uses the maf sensor or sometbin so I’m gonna get an apr one but. I’m excited, been wanting one for awhile so I decided to perform a full send and ordered one, now that they have thier V3, the track pack comes standard, good deal.

    I ordered the Boost Guage only version for my Mark 6 but ECS actually sent me the Multi Guage (talk about a come-up)!... just need to get the analog sensor because I dont trust the reading from the OBDII.

    Have you had any issues with the boost tap spacer giving false iat readings? Some say these map spacers get too hot and can overheat the map sensor into thinking the car is way too hot so the ecu cuts power. Have you experienced anything like that?

    • @JR14Channel
      @JR14Channel  5 років тому +1

      Yes I have but P3 Gauges did warn me that the only draw back to this was that I will have higher IAT readings at idle but, the car has never cut out on power due to it being too hot!

    if you already have a cobb ap, would you recommend the gauge? I do like the look of the gauge

    • @JR14Channel
      @JR14Channel  5 років тому +2

      Yes because the Cobb Access port is cool for monitoring information . However, when you are on the track and you mount it on the window, it blocks some of your view. This P3 gauge is dope for a few reasons. 1. It doesn't draw too much attention to itself meaning that when you turn the car off, it blends into the vent and you can't even tell its there. 2. Very simple to setup and use. 3. Very easy and the information on the display is very clear while also being easy to read and navigate through.

    Why remove the Aeroforce gauge with something that does MUCH less and requires much more work to install, and is in a more difficult location to view? The Aeroforce reads boost from the factory sensor through the OBD2 up to 29.5 psi, more accurately than a cheap aftermarket boost sensor(tap). P3 needs a boost tap because it cannot access the VAG protocol like the Aeroforce, which is also why the parameters support is so limited in comparison. Aeroforce is true plug and play and much less work with better results. Not to mention the Aeroforce display has a 2/4/8 parameter readout, where the P3 is very limited at just one. The Aeroforce reads so much more information, including E85%, DSG, and Haldex parameters, and records data, has all the performance timers without having to pay extra.

      Are you sure it can read obd2 ethanol content? I dont see it listed on the gauge page, and I dont want to have to add some analog converter on the P3 or the aeroforce when I can just read it via obd2 from the ecu.
