Great reaction. Freddie wrote Crazy Little Thing Called Love as a tribute to Elvis. 😁👍🏾

Freddie's Ay-Oh was the Moment when Queen and Freddie Stole the whole Live Aid💥
When they finished their part and went backstage , all other Artists were mad at Queen 😂 Because No one could be able to do better than Queen 😂

Queen were not even a headline act, they were added quite late on, All artists had 20 minutes and most just did a couple of hits and then their latest songs. Queen knew it was a global duke box and when they agreed to play they went in to the rehearsal studio and nailed down 20 minutes of HITS, Queen did not have the light show, or any of what they had when they toured. watch the lights at the foot of the stage, as Freddie hits the last note of We Are The Champions the light goes red. Bob Geldof was pissed off because before Queen came on the donations were trickling in. Queen was in the middle of Radio Ga Ga and the whole stadium was going nuts, from that moment the trickle became a flood. Queen cemented their place in rock history as the greatest live band ever. I saw them in 1986 at Wembley and they were even more spectacular. There is so many songs (about 220) to check out and dozens of solo stuff you will be amazed.

Brian May said that the acoustic on stage was so bad that they had to rely only to each other body movements. 😮They also had no sound check but because Live Aid used their sound system (at that time Queen owned the most sofisticated one) their sound engineer was in charge of the whole concert and he had lifted the limiters they were installed so Queen's performance was louder than any other musician's. But this wouldn't help them if their performance wasn't great.
Of course it helped them that they rehearsed all week prior and also they smashed 6 songs in a 20 minute frame each performer was given. At the end of the stage you can see green, yellow and red ligth. Yellow light was lit 1 minute before the end and you can see (in an uncut video) that red light went on just after Freddie gesturing a band to stop playing. That means they nailed it! It's amazing how Roger on drums was keeping the tempo going all those 20 minutes exactly as needed. When you time their performance from the moment Queen came to the stage until the end they exceeded the time given only for 8-10 seconds 😮 (if you count also their arrival to the stage). It is phenomenal!
Bob Geldof stated that he was on the roof of the stadium in his office and when he heard the crowd clapping in unison when Queen performed Radio Ga Ga he was amazed and also at that time the donations began rolling in (at the end of 👑 performance s sheik from Dubai donated 1 million £). The band was surprised too by audience responding and then they knew that their performance is good.
All top musicians participating in Live Aid said that Queen stole the show. David Bowie who was next to perform after 👑 was like: How the f**k am I supposed to follow that?! 😮 And Elton John congratulated the band after they came offstage by: You bastards! You've stolen the show! 😅 and Freddie replied: Yes, I know. We've killed them! 😂

Queen started rocking people in the early 70s and they are truly one of a kind and so was their frontman Freddie Mercury. I really think you would love one of their greatest hidden gems " White Queen " Odeon Hammersmith Live 1975 I enjoyed your reaction, thank you. 🫶💙👑🌈

Sadly this video has the end cut off - losing Freddie's epic final notes. Does anyone know if the original unaltered video is still to be found on UA-cam?

If you want to react to some more classic British rock try Status Quo at Donnington 1991 performing the Roadhouse medley
