  • In today's video, I'm diving deep into a major decision: saying goodbye to my beloved Tesla Model 3 Performance 🚘. But why? As much as I've enjoyed the ride, there are several factors at play. With Tesla's Full Self Driving (FSD) still in its evolving phase, the potential resale value of my current Model 3, and whispers of the new 'Highland' version on the horizon, it's a pivotal time to consider an upgrade. Plus, with HW4 self-driving tech expected to redefine autonomous driving, it might just be the perfect time for a change. Join me as I weigh the pros and cons, discuss what I'm looking for in my next car, and unveil the big surprise! If you're a Tesla enthusiast, or simply curious about the fast-paced world of electric vehicles and self-driving tech, you won't want to miss this!
There's no denying that owning the Tesla Model 3 Performance has been a journey. The sleek design, impressive speed, and cutting-edge features have made it a pleasure to drive. But as with all things in the world of technology and innovation, change is inevitable. The question remains: Is newer always better?
The allure of Tesla's Full Self Driving (FSD) has been both exciting and, at times, a point of contemplation. While the promise of true autonomy is on the horizon, it's worth considering whether the current iteration of FSD meets the hype. And then there's the impending launch of the 'Highland' version. If the rumors are true, this new release could be a game-changer, potentially making my current Model 3 seem a touch outdated.
Resale value is another significant factor. As more advancements are rolled out, there's the lingering thought of how this might affect the market value of earlier models like mine. Trading up now could mean a better return on investment, especially with the buzz around the upcoming HW4 self-driving tech. This next-gen autonomous feature promises to elevate the driving experience to unparalleled heights.
Lastly, there's the personal element. As a car enthusiast, I always find myself drawn to the next big thing. The thrill of discovery, understanding new tech, and being part of an evolving automotive landscape is intoxicating. So, as I weigh these factors and consider the road ahead, join me in exploring whether it's truly time to part ways with my trusty Tesla Model 3 Performance.

I did the same thing. My 2018 Model 3 Performance was wonderful. However I paid for $5k for FSD when I bought it originally. Being able to transfer it to my new Model 3 Performance was something I couldn’t pass up. Good luck with your new Tesla. I miss my 2018 a lot,
but I think we both made the right decision.

There are some cars maintaining the charging curve above Tesla. It would be interesting to have a video talking about them and the benefit of the 800V battery technology.

Indeed. I will soon be testing the Kia EV9 which is another charging beast.
