Always enjoy watching what you have going on. I’m a Co down in Texas and the way I look at it is I have been given the opportunity to do what I love and learn. You’re 100% correct on trying to live in someone else’s success (on the water and off). There is a silver lining in everything we do if you’re willing to find it. So you caught a good limit that’s great, so you didn’t catch a single fish that’s great too. Either way you have learned something and that should always be as rewarding as cashing a check. Tight lines brother.
I love your videos on co-anglers. I haven’t yet tried it out yet. I am so passionate about fishing that I need to and your advice about never backing down and never giving up are the values I was raised on. I fully hope your future is filled with more learning opportunities and chances to possibly win big time.

The word fail is just a misspelling of "learning"! I will add that if your inner circle of people aren't rooting for your success, and sometimes questioning your sanity, they need to be left behind!
I joined a kayak tournament this for this year. Being my rookie year is a bonus because nobody expects anything from me except to show up to every tourney, fish, and learn. It is all I expect and require of myself as well. I love the pressure of competition and trial by fire. It know it will make me a better angler faster than any other way. In the Northeast we hardly have any boat tournements so kayak is the way to go, but if I get an opportunity to be a co-angler I'm gonna take it and soak up everything I can learn! Love your videos man, I have picked up you have stuff going on that isn't fun and I hate to see you going through that stuff. Keep on doing your thing man. Life will get better and you seem like you are doing just that!

Your videos are what got me into co-angling. I am one of those guys who is actually happy with a 88th place finish in my Dale Hollow BFL this month, its better than last place. The way I look at, I have a zero chance of winning if I don't try. So I am going to at least try. Thanx dude, always great info.
I bet they might have hugged the shoreline at that place and made it difficult. Co angling can be difficult. As a boater when not fishing with friends I actually try to not let a single good cast be missed. As a boater with friends I purposely skip over good casts for my buds. Co angling builds good character and sounds like you are right on! Soak up the good times days on the water and info.
Good message, not just in fishing but life in general.

I’m doing the Hoosier BFL co angler this year for the first time. I fish all the time and never really catch anything. What some of the guys that have been fishing for years knows is unreal. I’m going just to learn. If I catch fish along the way then that’s an added bonus.
I'm 54 years old and started fishing the BFL Phoenix division for the first time. I was just thinking i want to start fishing other lakes. What better way than to join MLF. I fished the Mountain division last week on Dale Hollow and yesterday in the Volunteer division on Cherokee. Both boaters I had were awesome. Was never back boated. Had a great time. Great advice you gave. Don't wait til it's too late. Never back up... Never back down.
Thats awesome, I'm glad to hear that. with the exception of one event....and even that one event I had fantastic times and great boaters.

I get a lot of people asking for free stuff I don't have hahaha but when I see the sincerity in a message like yours I knew it was worth while. are you fishing bfl this year? I signed up late and on a waiting list for all..are they having a problem filling the field of boaters this year.. I don't want to start as a boater just yet..thanks great vids..

I just fished my first BFL as a co-angler in the ozark division... I got my butt whooped, it was a tough day to catch fish all around, but I refuse to use that as an excuse... I had an awesome boater, put the boat in position for me to fish all day.
the back is tough brother. You gotta fish for even fewer bites than the boater and its a grind!

While I am....I am not....I am. Sure I've gotten them in the past. Lots of them. it took me a while to learn how to deal with them. Great learning experience. They made me stronger, and thus their attempts failed and only made my character more engrained. This also serves notice to anyone from this point on. LOL Thanks for the comment bro

I was very disappointed
I’m in northeast Pa and man I want to start getting involved in tournament fishing, even just small local stuff but it’s so dam hard to find any clubs or anything to get into. It’s such a “click” type community, if you don’t know the right ppl it’s almost impossible.
