Ps pav was discovered singing in dublin for the dublin grand opera society, think it may have been la boheme,he was spotted and whisked over to covent garden the rest is history.by the by he loved soccer and often went up to the phoenix park to play football with the rest of the cast, some character
Thank you so much for posting this. I heard it in a movie last night, and the instant it began I knew it was Luciano! There'll never be another voice like his, and this song is so unbelievably beautiful. Heaven.
This is not a song that any tenor can sing It isn't a walk in the park at all Even Maestro Pavarotti had troubles to sing it and he never sang it in concerts It was truly an amazing tenor!
One of the great duets could have been between Soprano Julie Andrews and Pavarotti...a mix between more English Soprano with an Italian great. I bring this up, because here we have Henry conducting, a very very close friend of Julie. WOnt believe that this convo didnt come up personally, because they both also received the Kennedy Award honors for singing together.
You can feel his voice and emotion very deep inside you, as if God were singing to you
Colossal !
I fall in love with him more every time I hear him. He is so handsome here!!!
Pavarotti just hits different for some reason. Truly gifted with such a beautiful voice!!!

Used in movie " made in italy" with liam neeson, pavs voice is instantly recognizable, and so well suited to this song
