Great to see you on your own channel now and keep up the great content. I have to say, this is such a roadie problem - mountain bikers carry their scratches and dings as a badge of honor 🤣🤣
Thats funny! I just wrapped my new Emonda yesterday! I've wrapped my Checkpoint 3 times and have now just done my Emonda. My technique is to dip the tape in a dish of soapy water anf then apply. That beautiful gold paint better get protected!
@Chris Hall Truth! I haven't used RideWrap, but your video has made me interested in testing thier cuts. I work at Trek and we have more and more people asking for wraps, time to start a side business
Excellent video. It’s like you read my mind… I have a gorgeous tarmac SL6 with the Chamaeleon blue and purple camouflage matte paint work that I need to protect. I will definitely be ordering a kit.
I’ve had 2 of my bikes wrapped, but not by these guys, though have used Cycle Exchange for some awesome wheels. Love the self healing material, keeps the bike looking new. Good job
Nice cool 😎 video. A bit of a treat to self 😊......I had my winter build S Works Atheos framset wrapped. I'd recommend wrapping a frameset, more so given the cost of frames, groupset & ancillary equipment. Have a great, bike wrap weekend Chris!
@Chris Hall absolutely Chris, today's bikes whether intro, mid, or top end priced, are relatively eye wateringly😳 expensive! To aid self-healing: A " from a distance" warm setting hair dryer will also see a ppf film repair itself. Clever stuff, indeed. Go one step further like some folks do with their cars and ceramic coat the ppf ! ( It would make a top Trump video over Ollies gcn ceramic, only coated frame 😉👍!!)
Cool video! How does one get hold of the wrap tailored for Cervelo Soloist? The Ride Wrap website doesn't seem to have it except for the universal wrap that you have to trim for fit...
Hello, it’s all on the website from what I can see. It may be they have not measured your frame size yet. I ride a 54 and that is definitely available. You’re best bet is to contact them on the website www.ridewrap.com/gb/en/find-your-bike/
That was a walk in the park compared to wrapping my Giant Trance Advanced, with nearly 40 pieces! 100% worth it though. Still waiting for a tailored kit for my Argon 18 Dark Matter gravel bike though, which is strange given they're both Canadian companies.
Thank you I appreciate it! A mix of cameras. A lot on a gopro or insta 360 and then I have a DSLR too. The videos Jack has filmed are with a way more serious looking setup to what I have haha
Does it really stop scrathes ? I mean To what level ? if you fell of your bike and it hit the tarmac will it be able to absorb any scratches that might accur if you havent had the coat on ?
I’m hoping I don’t crash any time soon so that I can’t answer it 😅. In all seriousness it’ll depend on the severity of the crash but from what I’ve seen as they started with mainly protecting mountain bikes it’s pretty impressive how much it can protect.
Cool shop. Bikes, coffee and cakes. Yes!
Yeah it’s a nice one!
thanks for the video Chris take care of that hand
Thank you!

Thanks for the kind words! Haha you say that but ridewrap actually probably do more mtb options than road
just ordered a kit for my Cervelo awesome video thanks
Awesome!

That’s a great way to do it! Awesome you’ve done a few bikes too. It seems to get easier the more you do it too right?

Definitely worth protecting that is!

Yeah it’s really cool stuff isn’t it? Cycle exchange is a fantastic shop too right!?
Thanks Chris and Brandon....very cool process !
Thanks for watching!

Thank you Graham! I may really worth it when you consider the costs of bikes now

@@ChrisHallRides Ah yes they do have the 54 but not 56... Thanks for the quick response though! Keep up the great videos!

Wow 40 pieces is a lot! I agree totally worth it
@@ChrisHallRides it's normal, considering that the Trance is a full suspension mountain bike, hahaha!
Great work, did something similar with helicopter tape but this is so much better.
Chris hot tall are you for a 54 frame? You seem like a tall dude.
I’m about 6ft (183cm) but I have a short torso. I’m all arms and legs so ride a smaller frame with a lot of seatpost and saddle
Hey Chris, 👌👌👌
I missed the moment with the spray - it's just water right?
Soapy water
Not that I’m particularly a weight weenie, but how much weight does the wrap add to the frame?
It depends on the frame but around 50g
Love the videos Chris! Keep up the good work and hope you’re feeling better. Just wanted to ask, what camera do you use to film these videos?
Thank you I appreciate it! A mix of cameras. A lot on a gopro or insta 360 and then I have a DSLR too. The videos Jack has filmed are with a way more serious looking setup to what I have haha

I notice he’s regularly touching the sticky side of the tape. Is it the spray that stops fingerprints being stuck in the tape?
Yep exactly. The spray is soapy water and helps stop with fingerprints
That looks worth paying someone to apply the wrap.
Love your content, but you gotta work on the soundquality. You are hard to hear with all the background noise and music.
Unfortunately not much I can do about that in an open bike shop and cafe
that is comprehensible
The wetter, the better 🤣
😂
Excellent video, but you are self healing just a lot slower then the wrapping
You’re completely right
