It's amazing how well things work when you install parts correctly. Glad you are back and hitting on all cylinders. It looks as if you might be looking for another parts tractor. That one runs too smooth and operates to easy to be a parts tractor. Thanks for sharing....
Awesome to have you back in action!!! I have been rewatching all the old member only videos which has been great, but it’s really good to see you back!!👍🏼
Now you have a conundrum. You better find another parts donor tractor. It would be a crying shame to part this old beauty out. HHH, what a fitting name for these series of tractor videos and from Minnesota too!
I noticed that you were extremely careful not to damage anything by a premature starting attempt. Once it started at all, it started like a lamb! Superb prep work there.
That's a nice ole girl there. I'm very surprised it runs and drives that well too. It was pretty awesome to see the little kid come out when she fired up 😅. My opinion she's more than a parts unit. And that was a pretty slick way to end the video 😅
Thanks for the video Toby! Man does she run good. Would be a cool project to do like the swamp angel instead of a parts tractor. Glad to see you can get more involved in things now as well. I just found out yesterday that treatments are starting Tuesday morning and have 35 of them. Hopefully with the holidays that January 11th will be the last one and start getting back to healthy. Thanks again and can’t wait for the next video!
@@squatch253 thanks Toby I really appreciate it. I’m staying positive I’ll beat this and not feel to bad thru it. Yeah I’m sure things will take a while for you to get back to normal and lots to keep an eye on as well just a little step in the right direction. I’m sure the glasses will really help to. Thanks for the update and stay strong that you’ll be back to normal soon as well!
The salvage yards always tore down nicer machines than we were running on the farm. It was an easy way for them to ensure the parts may actually be usable. all the effort on new cables, it's gonna be a keeper :)
Excellent video Guys :) also how long that tractor be sitting for and good condition in for age running very well for test drive to ! Not smoking one and nice see alive again to plus keep going too! Hopefully fix up orgnail tank or replacement nice good used one too and that wild NAPA rebuilt that Generator also did not know that ! Agree your dad say keeper too and nice hear that to!
Loved watching this! I grew up in the 50's and we had a McCormick OS-4, I think it was a 1946 Orchard model. Use to plow fields and orchards and that tractor would just run all day long. Brought back fond memories. Nice to see these old tractors still being used!
Glad to see you drain the oil. I've never understood why someone would risk wrecking an engine with old oil and who knows what else still in the crankcase.
Thanks, plus the bottom of the pan is where all the accumulated condensation/water always settles, so that's the first liquid that gets sucked up by the oil pump as soon as they start cranking the engine lol
Buddy of mine recently picked up a "for parts" M602 MM. It turned over when he was winching it up on the trailer and so he decided to try starting it when he got it home. It popped right off and ran better than the one he already had and almost everything worked. Now he has two project tractors and is hunting for another 602 parts machine.
Is this a common occurrence? I had a similar experience with my 1952 W6. I lifted the rocker cover. Looked great! Dropped the oil pan and, to be honest, I've found uglier messed and the bottom of a bowl of truckstop chili. I just need to remedy some sloppy steering linkage and I've got a workhorse. I ended up getting a 1936 F12 for a project.
@@kenhawkins1033it seems to be, I've yet to drag home a parts machine myself, so I haven't had the opportunity, but an absolute junk looking Farmall M I bought this summer for a project runs amazing and isn't going to need anything other than cosmetic work.
Great runner , so good to see you able to get involved more , you and your dad work so well together brings back good memories to me. Happy Thanksgiving to you all you have so much to be thankful for this year .
You should see a rebuilt starter from a Perkins I changed out twice. Within a year the face plates bulged out just like that one. That's a nice old find. I like the wear on the pulley.
Having worked on Farmall 'H's & W6s all my working days, i was screaming at the screen "check the distributor timing for 180 degrees out" as this is so easy to get wrong. Ask me how i know😂😂 She runs sweet as is but with a carb kit and the valve clearance set, she'll be even sweeter. We have never had a starter on any of ours, hand crank only on a magnito unit. Great to see you back at it Toby👍👍🇬🇧🏴
A parts tractor! I think not! That maybe it was meant to run! If they made cars like they used to make Tractors we would All be driving 57 Chevys now! It is so good to see you out doing what you love to do best! Prayers are answered! By the way that switch at the end was hilarious. Laugh out loud hilarious! You'll have to tell us what it does in the next video! You are funny.
I am working on a 1953 W4. You made removing the starter look easy. For me it was very frustrating but I eventually got it. If you get going on refurbishing the W4 I will be a lucky man.
Awesome video in my opinion I would fix what is needed so you could put the doner parts back on the farmall tractor. In my opinion I would leave the patina. Denis from Santa Rosa CA
Looks like you need to find a good fuel tank with the correct patina. Everything else is repairable. If you could only find a good parts tractor.... I also like the headlights on this one.
What a wonderful tractor. Such a good parts unit hard decision to tear that one down. Rather then do the minor maintenance to get into perfect field ready condition
I wince whenever I see the ether come out, but you maintained incredible self-control. Perhaps you've torn down an ether addict before? It does an incredible job of washing any trace of lubrication from the cylinder walls!
Go ahead and name the tractor cause something that wants to live that bad can’t be used for parts. lol
Glad to see you up and back to work!
Thanks! Yeah I’ve been down now for about as long as I had been working on the Farmall H, I’m excited to be getting back into it 👍

Can't tell you how good it is to see Squatch getting his hands dirty again! A day to celebrate!
Nice to see some normality the lad is playing with his new toy nice work
Awesome to have you back in action!!! I have been rewatching all the old member only videos which has been great, but it’s really good to see you back!!👍🏼
If that was on my property, it wouldn't even be a candidate for restoration. Mechanical tlc, sheetmetal work, and put it back to work!
Sounds and runs great! I think it's safe to assume this is no longer a parts tractor? :)
Now you have a conundrum. You better find another parts donor tractor. It would be a crying shame to part this old beauty out. HHH, what a fitting name for these series of tractor videos and from Minnesota too!
I endorse your assessment. I have a bias. Love the McCormick Deering.
Good to see you back in the saddle. I can't imagine the relief your dad must feel that your eye is mended.
I noticed that you were extremely careful not to damage anything by a premature starting attempt.
Once it started at all, it started like a lamb!
Superb prep work there.
That tractor is in better shape than expected. So the light switch has a hidden Bluetooth connection to the camera!
Hahahaha finally someone acknowledges the switch 👍 , I thought it was funny 😆 guess that one ✈️ overhead 🤣 as no mentions 🤣😂✌️

What a sweet little machine...... a nice cup of coffee and I could putt around on the old girl all morning!! She sure sings pretty!!
With the giant tires and the way you sit behind them, I can't get the image of a 60's rail dragster out of my mind.
Welcome back to improving health. I have been praying for you.
This is the best premier episode of squatch acres. I’ve ever seen.
That’s a great tractor. Just name it now. It’s part of the family
Squatch. Nice to see ya with a wrench in your hand again.
What a sweetheart! A couple of parts and some service items and she's ready for the fields!
Love the switch joke, loughed out loud for real :D
Glad to see you back in the saddle again Toby

That old girl is a survivor. Give her a good name! I bet the starter you exchanged was a 12 volt. Maybe. Or just needs a rebuild.
Great video! Thanks!
Good to see you back at it Squatch!! The W-4 is pretty amazing! Looks like the previous owner kept it well serviced!
It's nice of the previous owner to fit a switch that ends the video. Nice little tractor, Thanks for posting.
That's definitely too nice to be used for parts! Either run it as is, or do a rebuild series on it (rebuild please!).
The salvage yards always tore down nicer machines than we were running on the farm. It was an easy way for them to ensure the parts may actually be usable. all the effort on new cables, it's gonna be a keeper :)
anyone else get a commercial the moment the light switch was flipped? 😅
Great video and great editing.
You are so lucky. Still making memories with Sr.
I recently scrapped my tin drain pan. Many years ago those were the go to drain pan. RIP tin drain pan.....👍

This isn’t a parts tractor, my friend! One of the most entertaining videos you’ve ever put out!
Awesome video👌 glad your feeling better and getting back at it👍
Dang it, now I want one too! Super handy light switch too lol
Good job, glad you got it running, now back to needing a part tractor again.

You can see that was a nice old well cared for tractor --good buy !!!
Good to see you turning wrenches again
LOL, Correct timing makes all the difference in the world. Amazing ol tractor.
Another "as new" rebuild with original patina?
Go on, Squatch, you know you want to 👍
The tractor looks big until you get on it. Glad you are back!.

Great video, made my day!
The good rear tires were a giveaway it was a runner.
Great revival and care taken , she's a little gem, too good for a parts tractor, a compliment to the super 👍💨💨
I believe you put that old tractor back to work. Sounded really good.
Man, I love the sound of a classic Farmall.
Well done, Especially the ending!!!!!
😂great ending, I got an add as you flipped it, didn’t figure the video was over😂
I’m glad you’re back in the saddle, albeit on a limited basis. 👍
I can think of many things that switch would be very useful on! 😁
That thing sounds great. Looks like it's a good candidate for a future project... May just have a W4 and SW4 together!
Loved that switch ending ! 😎
Marvelous
Looks like a great piece of art as well as equipment to enjoy.
Nice work.
Cheers
I agree with Sr, seems like a keeper! Small tune up and hook it up to a plow!
I sure like those lights pointed up!
Truly pleased that you are able to return to some sort of normalcy in you life and that your patience has paid benefits to your eye health.
Wrenching videos on YT are pretty common, but wrenching videos by someone so calm and easy going are not. So great to watch you do this.

Love the content no matter the subject! No need to replace that switch it seems to work just fine ha.
Good to see you breath life into the old girl again! she runs far too good to wreck.
Only Squatch can make a will it start video into a mini restoration
Works great, give it a dose of Seafoam to clean up the fuel system and carburetor. You got yourself a good running tractor.
Great job team 🇺🇸👍 happy your out and about Squatch
Great to see both you and the W-4 up and running again!
Engine sounds great
Wow, that tractor sounds great even the drive train sounds better than most. Good job.
Oh tears in my eyes to see it running haha :D.

Nice trick with the light switch.
Nice sounding tractor.
Good job guys! It started right up after it was properly adjusted. Love the grill.
Sounds good , I have a Super W4 from 1953 which was a kerosene start then to gas. I ts a handy tractor to have
You found a other tractor to give some love too.
Cool glad you are doing better.........................................................................
I like to see those tractors that have been resting for a while spring back to life with just a little help, thanks for letting us watch!
