    I really prefer the longer videos. In the middle of the night I sometimes use your soothing voice and cadence to slow my brain down so I can get back to sleep. I came to the channel to find one of the longer videos and it turns out you posted a 15 minute one 15 minutes ago. Jackpot! I find nature videos are the best way to get me to focus on something that isn't about what I have to do at work tomorrow etc. I absolutely love nature and I absolutely love your videos. You also do background music better than anyone. It doesn't have dramatic volume changes and it's loud and noticeable without drowning out the narration.

      🌸 I second that request, I am very interested in longer vids. It’s both relaxing & it stimulates my creative side. After the video I soon find myself relaxed & focused enough to gain a solution to my problem lol. It’s similar to the effects of meditation

      I also recommend a channel called SEA. He makes videos about space and the universe amongst other things and has a great voice to listen to with peaceful sounding background music. Another good one for easing down at night.

    Did u know that ur the only channel on youtube i’ve ever seen that is 100% got it down from music vibes to aesthetics to narration to editing ur videos are put together rly well and theyve rly helped awaken my love for the ocean
    Also u should rly consider using myuu’s music for your background music, alot of his songs may be too dark but im sure alot will fit perfectly

    There's so much to be told about sponges, but you got the basics and the main differences from shallow and deep sea sponges. Amazing production! you have no idea how much inspiring it was after reading hundreds of papers just on this topic as part of my research, lol.

    sponges really blur the line between animal, fungus, and plant. it's so fascinating to see how these basic mechanisms of nutrient acquisition first started to develop and diverge!
    I wonder, has lichen-sponge symbiosis ever been observed? would a triple symbiont be theoretically possible?

    I'm a biologist and honestly, your videos are better than 80% of the classes I attended. I didn't understood how can a teacher make a subject so wonderful be boring. But now I understand that what you do in your vídeos is not a easy job. It takes dedication to do something so beautiful, peaceful, engaging and interesting. The best teachers I've had are the ones that tell a story, It didn't matter if it was about cells or sharks, we wanted to know more. Your scrip tell a full story and always make me want to learn more and more. Thank you.

    When I was pregnant I acquired an intense obsession with sponges… all sponges - even synthetic ones. They were a source of comfort and joy. I slept on car sponges like pillows, used them as a fan, washed with them, used some to apply lotion and I talked about them all the time. My husband was so patient to listen to me. I knew it seemed crazy, but I couldn’t help my feelings. It was like love. After I gave birth it went away. I miss feeling sponge love but learning about them gives me a new appreciation.. I can relate to the sponge crab. I think they must have some kind of loving relationship there.

    Some facts about Calcarea, my group of study in graduation:
    They are the only poriferans with all the types of the aquiferus systems and it's more than just 3, nowdays we have 5 (asconoid, syconoid, sylleibid, leuconoid and solenoid) (Cavalcanti & Klautau 2011);
    Although they are considered shallow water (0 m - 100 m) animals, they are also considered understimated animals, meaning they could possibly live some meters below the 100 milestone, we just haven't made efforts to find them;
    Calcarea, as the name sugests, is made of calcite (in the form of calcium carbonate), it's different from other animals that use calcium carbonate from the mineral aragonite. There's some studies trying to understand the implications of a warmer and more acidic ocean in the formation of the calcium spicules;

    this might seem like a very random comment, but I have rather severe emetophobia that usually leaves me trembling uncontrollably on the floor in hot sweats any time I feel even just a little bit nauseous. Your videos are literally the only thing I can listen to that will actually distract me enough to get through the nausea without going into hysterics. Thank you for making such soothing yet captivating content, it has a much bigger positive effect on people than you might realize

    At 7.44 that crab ain’t using that sponge as a defence mechanism.
    It just felt fabulous that day and decided to dawn the biggest most gorgeous wig it could find. That’s 10/10 from me darling.
