Cupola Repair /Rebuild

This is less of a "How to" video, but more of a watch and repair. This is a small Cupola with a weather vain, made of copper, made for the top. Over the decades, the wood had become dry rotted and needed to be replaced. I made some changes to it by using plastic on the trim and sealing the plastice trim to the new wood to prevent water from collecting in between and rotting the wood out. It was actually a time consuming project because of the number of layers of paint. This will sit on the roof probably for another 10++ years before seeing paint again.
