I think newer Toyota vehicles recognize the new tpms signal on their own, I believe Toyota fixed the whole issue of having to add it to the system manually a few years back. I think you just replace the sensor and then turn the ignition to the on position without starting the car, press and hold the tpms reset button and go drive the car for a few miles. The car automatically searches for tpms signals and presto it's done. Great video, as always!
What you describe is exactly what I meant by doing the relearn procedure with that reset button under the steering wheel. I just used the tool cos I was already hooked up. Many thanks for always watching!
@DIYAutoworksNG yeah I made that comment before I saw the end of your video. It's nice that Toyota addressed and fixed the issue, making it extremely easy.
@@DIYAutoworksNG, hello your videos have help me , I have a question I know from your previous video you own a 03 accord, I have a 04 I replace the ECM and would like to write my vin into the new ECM, I do have a Autel TS900, and it takes me thru all the steps to write the vin into the new ECM , and when I press ok , it tells me It’s not supported, what do I need to do , thank you for reading
Hey, thanks for the suggestion! I generally don't do factory scan tool as I like to focus on 3rd party tools that can be used across multiple cars. But, thanks again for suggesting.
