That’s a cool looking Turtle. Misaligned date wheel is ridiculous though. I have exactly the same issue on one of my Seikos and it drives me insane. I can’t stand their quality anymore.
This watch looks nice but the base seiko movement is not known for great accuracy. I wish it had a 6R15..Maybe a made in Japan model would be more accurate?
got mine today.... "oooh yeaah - this watch is just awesome!" i barely remind me beeing so excited wearing a watch the first time.. " i wonder how accurate it will be... tracking it the next days :D i like the size too - its just perfect... a perfect watch kinda
The Burn Survivor I am guessing here, but I have seen other similar pieces retail priced in the $400-$500 range. The aftermarket price is a bit crazy, IMO.
I'm not sure that the price will drop, judging by what we've seen with the SARG001 and other Seiko's lately. If they make another run of the black turtle, maybe, but right now, I think the price will remain high.

Great video. You did say you were going to do a wrist watch check thought you were going to try the seiko on for size. But may have forgotten.

I'm pretty sure you should never turn the watch hands backwards as it puts pressure in the wrong direction through the various wheels in the movement.
After the 6309-7040 this is my fave turtle!

i think i like the black sto turtle better. it looks like they don't differ too much
PROSPEX= Professional Specification for Diving, meaning it meets ISO spec for Diving.

I wouldn't worry about it, it's a tool watch and marks add charm, just enjoy it!
Yeah, get a low grid sand paper and polish if off slowly.

Hate the price. Along with any of the special limited Seiko watches.
Not a fan of limited editions, true fans lose out and the flippers make money, I refuse to participate.
Then buy them new....
I bought the sumo black series with 6R35 and Sapphire BNIB for $550 USD. It seems to be less popular than this watch so far.
