I think the problem is that it doesn’t give that launch that catches you off guard and this gives similarity to a launched water coaster at Splashin Safari. Which I think launched coasters are cool even tho I dont ride roller coasters
You have NO idea how great it is. Ive riden it with my dad on the first preview day before it closed, and it is without a doubt BETTER than the of thop thrill. I had the same speculations that it wouldn't even be as good, but it is absolutely AMAZING. And don't worry you still feel free. With the seats being so much bigger in general I felt more free and comfortable.
Well, while I probably won't ride it I do like the new restraints. it seems to be made to better secure larger people to. TT single lap bar looked to weak to me. (Maybe they don't want anyone to get any whiplash from the rollback thing. Or they also didn't want there to be what happened to that 14 year old at the amusement park in florida to happen here.) But also and this is my opinion so don't judge just respect it. I think it was in bad taste to name it Top Thrill 2 since it was Top Thrill that had whatever piece break off and injured that woman. BTW anyone know if she lived or not? Last I heard was some brain damage but that was heard back around the time of when I heard about her injury.
I appreciate you making the video because now I realize how bad this coaster is and this video cheers me up since TT2 will be closed on my visit to Cedar Point in two days, as of typing on 7/13/24. Heck, I’m driving up there tomorrow! I agree with the fact that it was a mistake hiring Zamperla. Cedar… I mean Six Flags needs to get over their past problems with Intamin that SF had like, 20 or so years ago. Intamin has changed. Heck, look at VelociCoaster. After TT2 is up and running, SF, Zamperla, the GP, and us enthusiasts will all know that the transformation was a mistake. Zamperla ruined their shot and they will probably stick to making kiddie coasters and quality flat rides. (Seriously, they have amazing flat rides.)
You’re judging a ride you’ve never ridden? I’ve heard the rattle isn’t noticeable it’s just hard to keep the camera straight. I’ve also heard the final and backwards launch goes hard. Though I’m yet to ride it I think you’re overheating it and don’t really get to judge until you ride but nor do I.
I did give credit to the backwards launch. But I still stand by the initial launch. The rattle looked quite noticeable but I could be wrong. Thanks for the feedback though!!
I thought from the beginning when Zamperla was named and said they were using they’re new Lightning trains made mostly of aluminum that they wouldn’t be able to handle the stress of this rides speed and heights.
They have too much riding on this re-imagining to give up this quickly. Impatient children will always post crap on the internet. Remember when "TAER IT DOWN!" was all the rage any time there was an issue with a ride? I think this will be well worth the wait once they get all the bugs worked out with the trains.
I did just look it up. There’s nothing that says that. Other than it saying, close indefinitely..and indefinitely and permanent, have two different meanings.. And that was locally sourced from two days ago. Plus, I’m from the Cleveland area. If there was even a whiff that that was closing permanently, people would be losing their fucking minds.
(As of when this is typed) you’re completely correct. This video is talking about more of that it was a mistake to have Zamperla build the coaster because it probably won’t last long. Which is being proven. Just watch the full video, it will make more sense.
It won't be saved both party's have agreed to settle and share in the loss they plan on dismantleing it and build a different kind of coaster in its place Top Thrill 2 will join the graveyard at Halloween Haunt this October
I hate it just because it doesn't move. It's kinda difficult to experience launches and zero gee while it's closed.
It would be a tad bit better if it moved. It’s forceless now.

The rides amazing, the only thing I hate about it is that it’s been closed for over 2 months.. almost 3 months.
I can imagine the ride is great. The refurbishment took away what I would love most about the ride.

Thanks for the input!! I do believe that the ride would be good, but I prefer strong launches over swing launches.
A 200 ft rollback is still crazy
Yeah, but it’s still less than I would like it to be.
The lap bars don’t look bad, the spike looks cool. Yea the launch won’t be as good but the old one was unreliable so I think this is an upgrade
You can launch 100mph backwards up a 400' spike at magic.Mountain for the past 27 years
@@VerticalLoop thats the best they could give you stop complaining
@@joshfreund6008 okay and you could go forward 400 fr for the past 20 years

The old restraints were completely safe and there is no updates (that I know of) of the woman who got struck.
@@VerticalLoop I wish they would give an update but perhaps the family just doesn't want to be bothered by more news reporters.

how only bad thing about it is how UGLY the trains are
Meh
Trains fuck so hard wym
I thought from the beginning when Zamperla was named and said they were using they’re new Lightning trains made mostly of aluminum that they wouldn’t be able to handle the stress of this rides speed and heights.
It was a mistake to have Zamperla fix it. Especially when it opened before thundervolt and had no idea how it would work.
Sounds like you're just upset that you can't get on it - still.
Nobody can 😂😂
I have a theory that the high trains are what caused the problems
That would make sense.
Have you ridden it ??
This is just assumptions. I could be completely wrong.
I'm so proud of you kiddo!

They aren’t working stuff out with the train. They are closing it down permanently.

you sound young. dont let negativity take over buddy...
I am pretty young, I don’t believe that this is a bad ride. If anything it’s a great ride!! Thanks for looking out for me.
Great video, great editing its perfectttt

No it isnt being scrapped. (Yet.) Theyre having major trouble with the trains though.
