Food Truck Blueprints needed to pass inspection? In this video we go step by step on how we designed, drew, and submitted the plans for the New Food Truck.
Hey Frank! I just wanted to say thanks for posting these videos mate! My dad and I are looking to diy a food trailer for our family buisness and you have provided some awesome tips and advice :) Can't wait to see the finished product!
Hi Frank! Im in Dupage County as well!! I just bought a used food tuck and about to build it. This is great info. I'm hoping they would not need me to get the blueprint done professionally...
My heath department, yes, my state fire marshal, yes and no. The marshal was happy with my drawing, but wanted a very detailed drawing when it came to the ANSUL hood. The ANSUL installer, THE hood guy for the area, personally spoke with the marshal and said it’s going to be a fit and finish job and that he would submit the final placement of the nozzles once installed, that wasn’t good enough for the State, so he was compelled to pull a drawing out of his you know what and submit that. The marshal seemed to be stuck in a recursive loop.
Hi, Thank you for taking the time to record these videos, they have been awesome. Question, did you have to also submit plans for the plumbing and electrical? If you did can you show how you did them? thxs
Hello I have some major concerns regarding my trailer that is being built. How may I send you a picture of the wiring that I feel that will not pass inspection?
I want to do a shaved ice truck. How long should consider all the permits and guidelines take for you? i.e. Business license and all the paperwork. Hope that makes sense
Mine were fast here in my county back when I first submitted my plans and had my permits, now a days everything moves slow. I would say submit your plans early to get them approved and should be good.
Hi I just bought a box truck that I want to convert into a mobile food kitchen. I want to know if I should start with getting it wired for electrical or get the body work done first?
I'm a single mom building a p30 from scratch for a gourmet ice cream truck. You're like my professor in food truck 101. Thank you sooooo much
Love it!!!!!! Professor Frank lol. Love Ice Cream. You got this. Even easier with ice cream you don't need a hood 👍👍👍
Thank you for being literally the only person on the internet that shows people how to do this. Thank you.
Appreciate that feedback 💯💯💯💯💯

In Dallas Theytook said you can’t do it yourself!
Trailer king Builders in Houston might be able to assist. Tell em frank send you
Hey Frank! So would you recommend submitting these plans before starting the build? Thanks for your wealth of knowledge!
Depends on your health department, usually they want everything submitted at once
Hi, Thank you for taking the time to record these videos, they have been awesome. Question, did you have to also submit plans for the plumbing and electrical? If you did can you show how you did them? thxs
No plumbing or electrical are required for us. The plan sketch you saw there is what I took in to the H.D
Thanks Frank
Did the health department make you scratch the steamer tables? Why did you take them off? Great video thanks
No, I have a warmer table, if that's what you are referring to. It's a vollrath
Awesome series so far. A suggestion? Can you please number your videos in the order you do them?
I do engine and transmission design with DFM this is so much simple is it that easy
where do you get the stainless steel and how many sheets for a 7x14 freightliner
Nice I remember doing this in middle school... 😂
Hello

Good evening, you can send to my email. rollingburritosfoodtruck@gmail.com
Hi thanks for your time. Do you have to show the city the blue print before you start with the build? Or after.
I did mine before I already had my trailer and started the build like the electrical and such while they were inspecting
Do you know where you can get a blue print for our food truck? In Dallas tx
You can make your own usually they just want the general layout. Not sure where to get one beyond that

Houston Texas health Department what more detailed list. they want plumbing very detailed plumbing blueprints

Depends on the body work needed. The electrical won't do any damage to the body well for me it didn't. So either way you should be ok 👌
@@fbaltierrez Thank you for replying it's just a few dings all minor damage
you didn't draw the generator mounting , does it need to be drawn or not?
For us here in this county it does not. They didn't even look at my generator at inspection
Where did u get the grid paper
How did you determine the the scale for the drawing?
plan review application is $750 in california :>(
How much was the trailer itself
The trailer alone was 4,900 I found it used on Facebook Marketplace
