Don Henley was a founding member and often lead singer of the Eagles. Check out The Boys of Summer and Sunset Grill LIVE VIDEOS from the Inside Job concert.
OH MY... I TOLD YOU this video is AWESOME. Don Henley is my 4th favorite lyric writer and singer. He is the Drummer/ Founder/ Main Singer for "EAGLES" You will be blown away by the body of work from this LEGEND. I saw Eagles once and Henley Live 3 times Always a great show.
Great reaction! It was rumored that that the inspiration for this song was the O.J.Simpson trial and Henley was referencing a what if conversation between O.J.and Satan. The devil himself shows up in southern California and gives a summary of things happening with Simpson and such. Like the part where he tells the Juice "I was once a golden boy like you, and was looked upon with favor for my talent and creativity." That is until I got a little too big for my britches and got booted from my lofty spot in this world. Finally Satan looks around and says this place used to be a little more fun and so-forth, you know, before things got so fuzzy. Ole devil said eh, the place has run down so much even I'm just about bored with it, I'll be seein y'all.
Thank you for starting my Friday with Don Henley. He has been my favorite for 40 years. Love that you are off the beaten path for him. Check out You Don't Know Me or My Thanksgiving
Hey JM.... You'll love the lyrics in this Henley tune with Eagles live..."GET OVER IT".. best version.... eagles-get over it- dvd hell freezes over 1994
As with Don Henley, I am proud that I was the person who turned you on to Bob Dylan, I just watched this video again and found a comment I left after..... HE WAS GIVING OUT KNOWLEDGE | Bob Dylan - It's Alright Ma, I'm Only Bleeding (Reaction)......Warning..... If you listen to much more Bob Dylan tunes, "Rap" will never sound the same again.
JM, you should know.... Don Henley is one of the founders of "EAGLES" who have the best selling (or #2) album of all time. Greatest Hits 71-75. Henley has a solo career that few can say are as successful. If you're going to Jump Into his body of songs like "Hotel California",, I suggest you look over the edge of that bottomless pit, then put on a parachute, back up and get a good run and jump in. Don't expect to hit bottom for a long time. I saw Eagles once, Henley 3 times. The feelings are intense at those shows.
“Just People Selling T-Shirts”…. I have over 200 concert T-Shirts including 3 from Don Henley shows… At one show I wore a shirt with his large face on it. I was only 20 feet away from Don, he noticed my shirt and pointed at me then smiled. Just sayin
Hey, JM! Go listen to the song by the Eagles - "Hotel California" - because the Garden of Allah was a _real place_, where all the glamorati of Hollywood used to hang out and party like the world was ending, in Los Angeles... "Gomorrah-by-the-Sea". Run by Alla Nazimova, it was an actual Hotel... in California. I am _certain_ that the two songs are connected, with the earlier song observing some of the same things but the Garden of Allah - twenty years later - returning to the theme.
"Ballad Of Frankie Lee And Judas Priest".... "Who Killed Davy Moore".... you know who wrote these, when you do them, everyone will be as happy as you are to have heard them.
"When Good Was Good, And Evil Was Evil, Before Things Got So Fuzzy" - BRILLIANCE from Mr. Henley
Don Henley is the master of his craft. One of my all time favorites. Get Over It is another great one

John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, Don Henley. If they wrote it… it is something you want to hear.
When man perfects the art of evil making the devil absolute.
Most of this was a reaction of hanley's to the o.j. Simpson trial, especially the part about I'm an expert because they say I am
