its so awesome
Tomtoc is doing things better and better, I think they still have room for improvement in sizes (their new slings tend to feel bulkier for what they fit than the old ones)

Mopak wanderer sling is also a good alternative at an affordable price. I alternate between this one and a troubadour sling that is very similar to the belroy sling.

Think I’d want the larger 3.5L size as I often do need to pack an umbrella (living in US PNW), water bottle, or similar larger (or longer) item… that just won’t quite fit into a smaller (or shorter) bag. Really like that lightweight fabric and the newer style low-key branding.

Hey Aaron! I'm still loving the vids, and thank you for feeding my addiction to bags. I wanted to request that you review some of Beis's products. My girlfriend loves that brand and she's got a trip to Ireland coming up, so she's looking into backpacks. Beis also seems to have a sport sling that looks interesting. I just saw on tomtocs website that there is also a 2.5 version! The 1.5 seem a little to small and the 3.5 to big, glad there will be a middle ground. However I dont see the 1.5 or 2.5 available yet

I saw that pic of the 2.5 version on the site too! I don't think it was there initially. Not sure what the hold up is, but that's the exact size I need (pause).

I recently tried their 4L compact EDC and I found it to be too large for my needs. I am looking forward to the 1.5L to free up my pockets when at the gym or just out in general.
agreed, 2.5 liters or less is my go-to for a sling
Great review on these. However, I have 3 slings in my rotation that are hard to replace/beat… Aer Go Sling 2, Bellroy City Pouch, and the Bellroy Lite 7L (if I want pocket relief AND a water bottle in there).

Just one question, why do you think the sling would not work well as a crossbody? I prefer to use my slings messenger style most of the time. Thanks!
just because of the strap configuration - it is marketed as a 'chest bag' not a crossbody. It can be an ok crossbody, but not the best

Not something I personally like, but I get why others like it
I think the REI Co-op Travel Organizer can hide the straps behind the padding kinda like a backpack

Ahh im always down for tom toc. They were my first good sling and travel backpack and when i had a slight tear 2 years later and they replaced both for being a good customer. Best bang for buck company right now. Fight me on it

well, thet are all out of the 1.5L so now we know which is more popular. They are also advertising the 2.5 (which they do not have) I am more intrested in the RFID capability. I will look on your site to see if you have any reviews on this.

I have the original tomtoc sling, and the only downside with this new bag is that it still has the same small pockets in the front. They should have copied Bellroy’s new bags and put a vertical separator to have two decent sized pockets. Which would you recommend personally, Evergoods CAS2 or this bag? (3.5 version)
I agree on that vertical divider, but it can make it a bit prescriptive depending on what you carry. I love EG CAS2 but would personally take this

What's the difference with the T-21 sling bags?
haven't reviewed it so can't say for sure
T33 has better material and straps are oriented at 12 o’clock and 3 o’clock. I would say the T33 is better
How is the t26 wanderer compared to the 3.5l ?

Wanderer is larger and not as malleable. I use the wanderer as my edc sling and I love it
Fuck I just got a Bellroy Venture 1.5L sling for like $80... Might return it and get a Tomtoc one 😂 didn't even know they had come out with these cool new ones!
Bellroy is much higher quality imo, but this gives better value for sure

Tomtoc's pricing highlights just how overpriced other branded bags are.
I disagree. Compare the materials this sling uses versus Aer then it’s apparent where the extra $ goes to. Doesn’t mean one is better than the other, just that they both do their own thing
Tomtoc is in the tech protection space and their pricing is more friendly to a larger audience
