What an extraordinarily useful video, seriously, so many people complaining about autofocus in UA-cam and then... this gemstone. Thanks a lot !
Love it man! More S5 videos!
That's a brilliant suggestion for exposure!
Thanks for the helpful video! Also nice Foxhound patch
Thanks 😊
Great vid 🔥
Nice video ! What is the music you're using ? 😊
What a great, helpful video. Thank you. I use a lot of vintage lenses with my s5, and I am mainly in manual focus even with my autofocus lenses. With that base ISO that you mentioned, do you set your camera at only 640 and 4000 iso? I try to only use those two settings, but this zebra note is really a game changer for me. I'm curious though, if you only use those two ISO settings. Thanks so much for this video, it's really valuable.
Awesome!! Yes that's exactly wat I do i literally only use 640 or 4000 never touch other iso unless at night then I go higher because I do not mind a bit of noise but day time it's always 640 5900k just works great with my LUTS
@@CharlieHunt ahh, I'll have to check out your luts.
Hi there is one question no one answered me yet on YT. How to improve the AF of my S5? What setting to use in order to be able to lock on a face body of a model when doing slow moves closer or away of the model. Because I am focusing on the face for e.g.: from a distance then moving closer a bit and it looses focus instantly and starts to hunt. i would expect that in a well lit environment it will be able to keep track at least. And I am not doing erratic movements, but rally slow back and forth sometimes around the subject movements, but really-really slow.
Unfortunately your going to continue to have this issue with the s5 it's contrast based AF, the new S5ii is way better at tracking focus finally, I tend to use manual lenses on my s5 because the AF is not great
@@CharlieHunt I get it. It's contrast based. But in a controlled studio environment where contrast does not change dramarically, it should be a setting for a video-centric hybrid to lock on a well lit face, isn't it?
With manual lens how would I keep the subject in focus when moving away or closer to it?
Change sensitivity or speed of the AF?
Can you recommend any 85mm old lén for S5?
Try the helios or any other old Russian 85mm
