I have 300 vehicle destroys with the Felon so far. I think it is ok, if they tighten the spread on the mini gun it will be Good for infantry, but will be OP when hitting choppers. Especially once you get 30mm rounds, you don’t even gotta run heatseekers anymore. The 30mm and 1 burst anything
The F35 actually does have repair systems, it's just glitched and not in the menu. I had it equipped when I unlocked it originally, but after a loadout reset I've lost it off the F35. Very cool!
I don’t blame him though. As an infantry player, this game doesn’t meet any of my standards. So I can imagine it being even worse for pilots. And I don’t use aircraft in BF games but I respect a good pilot.

Remember how good they were back in BF3? That was when jets were at their best. I guess too many people complained since then and DICE has just nerfed jets into the ground. I mean, if in their first reveal trailer, the only way that guy was able to take out the jet chasing him was to jump out and shoot an rpg, then that should’ve told us everything we needed to know about how bad jets were in this game. (I know it was an homage clip, but still).
@@zowbaid89 right! I really miss the flight mechanics and playstyle of the jets in BFV tbh. Those were my fave jets out of any bf title. It actually felt like you could shake someone if they were on your tail and you had so many load out options and planes to choose from. I was really hoping for like at LEAST an air to ground jet. Maybe even get jiggy with it. How cool would it be to have an AC-130 that is an objective held vehicle that someone could actually pilot. Obviously balance it accordingly but stuff like that is what i wish bf would have. And lastly, how the heck can DICE give jets nerf darts when the freaking little bird and attack chopper (and hovercraft) all have game melting power. I just dont understand at all. I keep saying the next BF title will have good jets but this game just went backwards. DICE just pay attention to the jet community for once, please.

I'm new to battlefield (played only 1 this summer thanks to game pass and loved it), and I can assure you that 2042 is a total disappointment even for me
Flying in bf4 had a learning curve that once you clawed you way into learning its arts and earned your wings, the aircraft and the pilot becomes one. As a person who is studying in college in the field of aviation and wants to become a pilot, this makes me disappointed that the game that inspired me to solidify my passion for aviation (BF4), isn't being reciprocated in battlefield 2042.
It's amazing to see people become aviation students from games like BF4, i've dreamt of doing that with some wingman buddies, but it's really hard to achieve that where i live. BF2042 got me so hyped up when i saw the jets they were announcing, but when i played the beta i was so damn dissapointed...

Of course the physics weren't anywhere near realistic, that's not what he was saying. Jets simply use to feel much better than how they feel in 2042. They've made many games in between, so you'd expect them to deliver something better, something good. We're not hating on the game for fun. We're all extremely disappointed, because we wish it was good. Can't blame you if you've never played the previous battlefield games, last one I played was 4 on the ps3 so it's been a while. Which is why seeing how bad the physics and game balancing is for jets, while you're out here trashing on those who think the game isn't as good as it should be is just sad. We know DICE can make better games, we've seen it. So it's hard to believe this is all they can achieve, in 2021, 8 years after BF4. Using Jets wasn't extremely hard, but it sure as hell was 100% more satisfying and rewarding than whatever we have now.

@@Soliye. honestly the hovercraft thing doesn't even fucking bother me and it honestly shouldn't anyone else either. It takes hours to get up a decently sized building, you can call one in on top of it anyway and it has virtually no advantage since you're a sitting duck. If they prioritize fixing that little funny bug over rebalancing one of the core features of the game (Vehicles) then I swear to god I'm making it your fault. Stop presenting them with unnecessary BS and let them work on the important stuff, getting the game to work and feel good and balanced, THEN take care of all the bugs that aren't entirely gamebreaking

And yeah attacking the points on building is annoying as hell by default. Also they’ve already fixed the hovercraft. They can’t climb up buildings anymore (sadly). So blame who you want to blame, but remember who’s making the game.

Adding spread of guns (reducing accuracy on guns) really adds on randomness and decreases the skill ceiling on the game. By guns here not only ARs, aircraft guns too (and jet guns have no splash). I grinded out 30 mils on both aircrafts. Spoiler alerts it was such a grind. (Also, even 30 mils have 0 splash damage)
Yeah found that stupid aswell, even the transports have 30mil cannons with splash damage. Would be cool if you could actually do some flyby ground support..
@@MrSleepzor You can. While not as powerful as BF4 counterpart, it does decent damage to any vehicle if you hit the shots. I think for a full top-down gun run you can kill a full-health tank if you track your target quickly enough and have good luck on the spray accuracy, but pairing the gun with AGMs makes me consistently take out an armor every top-down run or two,
@@MrSleepzor bro, the transport vehicles literally have 50mm explosive cannons that are more dangerous than the AGM, Radar or IR missiles of jets and heli's. The biggest threat to most other vehicles are the flying tanks with 50mm cannons and 2 miniguns that can repair itself, be repaired by 2 extra passengers, have AA missiles (thanks to the extra passengers) and use missiles countermeasures They are truly broken
You can also use Radar missiles for air to ground assuming you can connect with your target using dumbfire. This would actually require some skill too making it a little more exciting
@@TriggerLRSSG doubt it, explosives or splash damage in general in this game is absolute ass There are moments where I get 5 or 6 hit markers with the night bird AI missiles before killing _one_ enemy in a group of enemies
@@KryptoKn8 well if you’re close enough you can actually one shot infantry with it. I have done it a few times. The problem is that the projectile is so slow and the splash radius isn’t great. It makes them hard to use at longer ranges.
I find that bursting with the mini gun when you’re on the flare baiting pass is a good way to disrupt and reset the repair timer, and do a little extra damage to ensure your next pass missile will kill
They really butchered this game series, didn't they? I miss the old days of going ham on Battlefield 1 Operations in the light flanker tank, and then getting into bed 9 hours later to watch Niccaman smush little pixels from the skies as I passed out, all to do it again the next day.
NICCA, those last second rockets let the enemy know "lock-on warning" when you aim at them w the missiles equipped. You have to equip miniguns & switch to missiles last second & FIRE!
Vehicle gameplay _is_ battlefield. Everyone I know thinks of vehicles when they hear battlefield it's always been like this and always will. Them messing it up this much is a disappointment. Game is still super fun tho, especially because I'm mainly a sniper and love taking potshots at other snipers across the map. Most satisfying thing ever

I’ve yet to use the jets but have been using the attack helicopters and I unlocked the 30mm cannons for the Hokum and they are amazing so hopefully they are good on the jets too should be really good for infantry and light vehicles

15:19 I don’t know about this game but IRL flares don’t work on a radar guided missile. The way flares work are by making another heat signature to distract the IR sensor on a heatseeking missile. But surprise surprise A radar can’t be distracted by heat when it doesn’t even have a camera. And that’s why people use radar guided missiles because the only way to stop it is Either by out running it or tricking the AI to crash into something like a building or the ground or get in the radars Blindspot (which entirely depends on the radar)
the one thing i dont understand about battlefield is how in the world an aircraft can take more than 1 missile, i mean a single missile should damage the aircraft enough to cost it lose the ability to flight or lose most the ability to flight that cost the plane to crash, not taking a missile and looks like nothing happen and wait for 30 ish sec and then go fight again
Sigh- this is why I played two hours and got a refund, pretty disappointing. Compared to the other games it’s sorta embarrassing, surely. Battlefield 4’s heli and jet stuff was pretty cool. Having to use the cockpit viewport for the AGM or JDAM in that game was way cooler. BF1 was really fun for dogfights. On a more nit-picky note, the miniguns sound soft in this game compared to the epic BRRRRRT from BF4, sound matters. This new game’s flying honestly feels like a free-to-play iOS game, (except that game would probably have way more enticing progression). Low skill doesn’t mean a bunch of happy new players to the franchise - it means quickly bored new players and disappointed / bored long time fans. I’ll re order once the physics, key bindings restrictions for heli / jets, and gameplay loops for air vehicles is fixed. I’ll keep my eye on UA-cam.
The SU57 Felon can turn corners and climb fastest the F35 Panther can’t the only thing this has is VTOL. You can use VTOL to make the jet over pass you but your stuck in VTOL mode for about 5 seconds or so but your an easy target it dangerous and fun at the same time if you know how to use it wisely
Just remember they stopped support BFV and BF2 for this hunk of shit. BFV just started getting better at the end and BF2 was killing it and had so many more years of potential shame.
I think Dice was trying to make flying more accessible to people who have a lower skill level but I think they over did it and made it too “arcade”, if that’s the right word for it. What I think they should do is make the controls and physics easy to just play making lower skilled players be affective in battle but make it challenging to master, thus making it fun to get batter at flying.

I love flying in battlefield, well I used to as it's been all down hill for aircraft since bf2. I been spending most of my time flying since bf1942 and love the freedom of movement there used to be. In this game I dislike the flying physics so much I'm going to stick to tanks and that makes me sad.
They even made flying in portal awful aswell. The air radar sucks, no below radar to avoid AA missles, the only good thing is they have included the old counter meassures.

As someone with some common sense, in simple terms flying just doesn't feel satifactory in bf2042 like it did in bf4

@@MrSleepzor You can. While not as powerful as BF4 counterpart, it does decent damage to any vehicle if you hit the shots. I think for a full top-down gun run you can kill a full-health tank if you track your target quickly enough and have good luck on the spray accuracy, but pairing the gun with AGMs makes me consistently take out an armor every top-down run or two,
@@MrSleepzor bro, the transport vehicles literally have 50mm explosive cannons that are more dangerous than the AGM, Radar or IR missiles of jets and heli's. The biggest threat to most other vehicles are the flying tanks with 50mm cannons and 2 miniguns that can repair itself, be repaired by 2 extra passengers, have AA missiles (thanks to the extra passengers) and use missiles countermeasures
They are truly broken
You can also use Radar missiles for air to ground assuming you can connect with your target using dumbfire. This would actually require some skill too making it a little more exciting
You can actually use it kill infantry with it but once again, you have to be accurate with it.

There are moments where I get 5 or 6 hit markers with the night bird AI missiles before killing _one_ enemy in a group of enemies
@@KryptoKn8 well if you’re close enough you can actually one shot infantry with it. I have done it a few times. The problem is that the projectile is so slow and the splash radius isn’t great. It makes them hard to use at longer ranges.

I find that bursting with the mini gun when you’re on the flare baiting pass is a good way to disrupt and reset the repair timer, and do a little extra damage to ensure your next pass missile will kill
They really butchered this game series, didn't they? I miss the old days of going ham on Battlefield 1 Operations in the light flanker tank, and then getting into bed 9 hours later to watch Niccaman smush little pixels from the skies as I passed out, all to do it again the next day.

NICCA, those last second rockets let the enemy know "lock-on warning" when you aim at them w the missiles equipped.
You have to equip miniguns & switch to missiles last second & FIRE!

Vehicle gameplay _is_ battlefield. Everyone I know thinks of vehicles when they hear battlefield it's always been like this and always will. Them messing it up this much is a disappointment.
Game is still super fun tho, especially because I'm mainly a sniper and love taking potshots at other snipers across the map. Most satisfying thing ever

I’ve yet to use the jets but have been using the attack helicopters and I unlocked the 30mm cannons for the Hokum and they are amazing so hopefully they are good on the jets too should be really good for infantry and light vehicles

15:19 I don’t know about this game but IRL flares don’t work on a radar guided missile.
The way flares work are by making another heat signature to distract the IR sensor on a heatseeking missile.
But surprise surprise A radar can’t be distracted by heat when it doesn’t even have a camera.
And that’s why people use radar guided missiles because the only way to stop it is Either by out running it or tricking the AI to crash into something like a building or the ground or get in the radars Blindspot (which entirely depends on the radar)
They use chaff 🤦♂

the one thing i dont understand about battlefield is how in the world an aircraft can take more than 1 missile, i mean a single missile should damage the aircraft enough to cost it lose the ability to flight or lose most the ability to flight that cost the plane to crash, not taking a missile and looks like nothing happen and wait for 30 ish sec and then go fight again

Sigh- this is why I played two hours and got a refund, pretty disappointing. Compared to the other games it’s sorta embarrassing, surely. Battlefield 4’s heli and jet stuff was pretty cool. Having to use the cockpit viewport for the AGM or JDAM in that game was way cooler. BF1 was really fun for dogfights. On a more nit-picky note, the miniguns sound soft in this game compared to the epic BRRRRRT from BF4, sound matters. This new game’s flying honestly feels like a free-to-play iOS game, (except that game would probably have way more enticing progression). Low skill doesn’t mean a bunch of happy new players to the franchise - it means quickly bored new players and disappointed / bored long time fans. I’ll re order once the physics, key bindings restrictions for heli / jets, and gameplay loops for air vehicles is fixed. I’ll keep my eye on UA-cam.
The SU57 Felon can turn corners and climb fastest the F35 Panther can’t the only thing this has is VTOL. You can use VTOL to make the jet over pass you but your stuck in VTOL mode for about 5 seconds or so but your an easy target it dangerous and fun at the same time if you know how to use it wisely
Just remember they stopped support BFV and BF2 for this hunk of shit. BFV just started getting better at the end and BF2 was killing it and had so many more years of potential shame.
I think Dice was trying to make flying more accessible to people who have a lower skill level but I think they over did it and made it too “arcade”, if that’s the right word for it. What I think they should do is make the controls and physics easy to just play making lower skilled players be affective in battle but make it challenging to master, thus making it fun to get batter at flying.

I love flying in battlefield, well I used to as it's been all down hill for aircraft since bf2. I been spending most of my time flying since bf1942 and love the freedom of movement there used to be. In this game I dislike the flying physics so much I'm going to stick to tanks and that makes me sad.
Felt that, it make me so angry what they did to the fly engine, they absolutely ignored the fact to never change a running system
All air vehicle weapons got less "bullet" velocity than in BF1. Just headless.

They even made flying in portal awful aswell. The air radar sucks, no below radar to avoid AA missles, the only good thing is they have included the old counter meassures.
The F35 does have repair function, it's just bugged from the UI.
Also, the 30mm cannons are far superior, also damages armoured vehicles.
