- Remember this cabinet? It cost me £1 from a local charity shop but it's not the kind of thing I would usually choose to paint. I set my self a challenge of giving it a quirky makeover and now I'm actually thinking about keeping it! This is part 2 - part 1 covers how to prep IKEA style pieces and you can find that video on my channel under the playlist '£1 IKEA cabinet makeover'.

Such a happy piece! Loved that improvised stencil!
Thanks so much!
Well done on your scallops.. very cute $1.28 cabinet.😂😂 Love the colors
Thank you! It was definitely a bargain!
I love it! I've been unable to watch for awhile so I'm getting caught up. Always love your tutorials!!
Thank you!!
What a great little piece. I’ve just started using silk and I am loving it!!!
Thanks! Silk is absolutely amazing. I’m sure you will!
Next time you might make a smaller scallop that fits into the framing trim of the door and go all round it.
That would look sweet!
That turned out very nice!
Thank you!
@@faffdesigns you're very welcome! Enjoy your vaca!! 💃
Yes. You should keep it. It's adorable. How could you let it go?
Btw, our basement library area is done in pink and turquoise/aqua/teal. If I could get it to the US, I'd be begging you to sell it to me.
Heehee I think I will keep it! Your basement sounds amazeballs!
@@faffdesigns It's really fun. My roommate found the couch at a thrift store and it had the tiniest fleck of pink in its upholstery--that's where the pink came from. The turquoise is ALL over the house, so when she found the clearance IKEA bookcases in that color, it was a done deal. I looked up color palettes including pink and turquoise and we based everything off that.
I'm trying not to covet the cabinet. Heehee!
