      Hi Dr Chaffee what a great podcast and very motivational...I'm a relapsing carnivore and because I live with a foody family I'm regularly dragged off course. Because of past experiences with push crash ( I was told I had mild Chronic Fatigue) I'm scared to start to push it in the gym (I was a natural bodybuilder in my late 20s and early 30s before my health waned by trying to out train and bad diet) because although at mild to moderate intensity with occasional short bursts I can keep up with anyone I still feel crap 24 hrs after shocking my nervous system. I still have some lower levels digestive tract symptoms due to occasional off piste food dalliances mainly dark chocolate and coffee and cream+occasional veggies but nothing horrendous..I'm about 11stone 4lbs at 5ft 10" and about 13-+15% body fat..now I am 58 but people find that number hard to believe...before I check out off this planet I really want to reach peak fitness again so any pointers would be great. Ps during lockdowns i work physically very hard in my garden every day and got my body fat down to 10% but I stress that is not very short intense exercise like squats which really crash me out. Very best wishes Paul 🙏

It’s funny that people who eat lots of meat are told their health is under threat…but the rubbish they ate before was usually talked about as funny. My male GP told me I am going to get bowel cancer if I continue to eat predominantly meat. BUT when I told him over the years I was worried about the amount of sugar I was consuming (2-3 kilos of dairy milk chocolate a week) he used to laugh it off and say don’t worry about it, everyone has to have a vice.

Fat storing isn’t a bad thing in itself, neither is e.g. blocking leptin if the goal is to over eat and store fat for winter. But obviously we aren’t built for living in an abundance 24/7/365. We are living in a perpetual harvest time, and it’s killing us slowly.

What I did add was boron which was suggested by a doctor I follow on UA-cam. That took it to another level. I’ll be 67 in 4 days. I will never eat vegetables again. I have always been a huge natty body building, same as my brother, just genetic luck, and our dedication to lifting. But after about 3-4 months on carnivore, my gains went through the roof! @Jdub-ft1vf I am happy to help! Don't listen to anyone, apart from people with multiple years of keto/carnivore experience. Easy tip - Keep fat high. I do this by drinking double cream/heavy cream. I eat 350g of beef mince and 600ml of heavy cream. I take a lot of salt and potassium also. I take magnesium at night.

    • @Joe-kt7zp
      @Joe-kt7zp Рік тому +1

      Everyone is different; most don't need the crazy high fat and salt that I need. You have to try things and make notes. You don't need more than 100g of protein a day, and too much protein will can problems. Ketosis is protein sparing/I built loads of muscle on 70g beef protein a day, from my 350g of beef.

    • @Joe-kt7zp
      @Joe-kt7zp Рік тому +2

      @Jdub-ft1vf I blend fried beef 500g mince with water and drink it. I make 3 drinks. (put them in fridge...) Drink 1 at 11am and 1 at around 4pm. At each drink/meal I drink a 300ml cup of double cream/heavy cream. That's it. It's my own quick crazy thing that works. I just fry the mice/cook once a day...easy and cheap! You could drink all 3 drinks in one day, but I like just cooking every 2 days...I am a big dude, but its only through lifting, I have a fast metabolism.

    • @Joe-kt7zp

      @Jdub-ft1vf Bulk buy pink salt and potassium chloride. Figure it out (make notes). Do not take potas without a good pint of water at least! I do 1.5 pints each time I drink my salts. I drink my salts 3 times a day - 11am, 4pm and 9pm. Half tea spoon of pink, and half of potas

    My husband’s poor uncle just passed away from throat cancer. He couldn’t swallow and they put him on a feeding tube in his stomach and you know darn good and well. It was sugar. He passed away six weeks after his diagnosis. They sent him home with this Feeding tube that my aunt had to take care of for him. She believes everything that I post about glucose and cancer and diabetes and carbohydrates so hope it, but there was nothing she could do. When you get in that cancer treatment situation, you have to do what they tell you, and there’s no way out. Most people are just not educated on alternatives.
