As a civil engineer specialised in water treatment, every water plant, either to produce drinking water, or to clean the waste water, doesnt require many workers. Usually one or 2 for every thousand citizen. The amount of parking kinda itched me 😅

For an aesthetic purpose. With radio towers you could build a small but flat hill & put them on it with a dirty road going up the hill.
Could have some other things like a water tower with some trees around the hill & along the road too.
Where I live in Aus there is quite a few large rolling hills.. Well mountains I guess technically.. But other than farming they tend to have towers & what not spotted across them with dirt roads through the bush or farm land to them.

Im not really sure, I know quarry's in America can be in some pretty odd places. In my hometown there is a quarry right in the middle of the nice side of town.

you should minimise the amount of specialized industry for maximum profit, aka if you have just enough space to put two say foresty specilizations, make only the two, even if it looks a bit more ugly, its better economy wise

Creating a roundabout with roads is better if you want to zone some houses in the roundabout

I don't often think about them. I think because I am from the states it's just not something that I utilize that often. Even though I know they are better
