You are an amazing cooking instructor. I don't think I would have had the confidence to try making my pretzel, but your instructions are so clear, that I now know that I can do it. Thank you!
Hi Louise. I love pretzel bites so I am very excited to try these. I am also grateful for your cheese recipe. I was wondering if this recipe would make the pretzel buns, they are so good on sandwiches. Thanks for another great one!!
I'm looking forward to making these for my burrito bowls tonight! I used to make pretzels in the foodi 10 in one oven, but U font think tgey would fit in the pressure cooker (they were straight and long pretzels). So I think the bites would be perfect
@TheSaltedPepper I had one of those. That's what I used to make them in. I replaced it with the OL701 and never looked back. It's easier to clean, I get more even cookingg out of it, and I replaced the Foodi XL ANd my large crockpot, AND my microwave . It opened up as lot if counter space and storage. Oh, and bzking doesn't take nearly as ling as in the XL oven.
They turned out great! I coiled the dough. Next time I'll grease the basket lightly and put them in directly so that tye bottoms get the air too. Otherwise, it was really good!
You can use gluten free bread flour, but almond flour will not work in this recipe. I just had someone make them with a gluten free bread flour and said they worked out great.
Can the Ninja Foodi bowl nonstick coating handle Sodium hydroxide ( Lye) ? I do use Baking Soda mostly for such things but it is not the same, Lye is better,IMHO.
@TheSaltedPepper lol i hate the clean up after. But I love to get in there and try something new. I forgot my hubby hates pretzel bites. He loves soft pretzels though. And we don't have a silicon liner. Soooooo...I'm going to take his idea and either make the pretzels about half the size that I normally do, or just make one long coil and roll it like a cinnamon bun to fit the fry basket. This will be my first time making them in the foodi pressure cooker.
I can't keep up with the number of things i want to try in my Foodi, i've long thought i was missing out on pretzels (mass manufactured just taste awful imo) so i'm really looking forward to trying the real thing... sadly if Louise doesn't slow down (don't you dare Louise lol) it's going to take me a while to get round to making these lol
Great recipe, and they taste great. My only criticism is that you took a twelve to fifteen minute video and doubled the time necessary to get us the info. Too much double and triple explaining.
I’m glad you enjoyed the recipe. I’m sure some people would agree with you on my longer videos, but many more people disagree. I really try hard to not skip anything so anyone can follow along and be successful. If I go over something twice or three times and it seems redundant to you, it’s either because it’s super important or I forgot I already said it and it’s not in a place in the video that can be cut out. It’s much harder than you may think to film these videos because the 25 minutes you see can take hours to film sometimes. I’m not scripted so I forget sometimes what I’ve already said. It certainly isn’t intentional and I always aim for shorter videos. 😊
I don't care how long you took.. You do a wonderful job explaining--to both experts and newbies--so don't listen to people who have to find some part they don't like, to criticise. I'll just keep on watching and earning from you.
Sorry, Flyer, but I disagree. I would rather too much Info than not enough. I have thought about making YT videos on baking for a long time. I can only imagine how hard and time consuming it is. Then, after all that time getting criticisms from people. I give you all credit for doing what you do, thank you!

I ADORE READING
What brand sodium citrate did you choose?
And different cups hold different amounts of solids/ liquids. At least weights are standard.
Do you think this would work for gluten free. Like maybe almond flour?

You need to roll your sleeves up when kneading 😮
If the cuffs were loose, maybe. They weren't and it went fine. No crusted dough on them. LOL
