Hello friends! as you can tell I am so ready for spring, its making me so happy. So I thought I would share some of my happiness through my favorite spring books, these are books that make me feel so happy and light. They make me want to run through a castle with my fae lover, or lay in a field of flowers while the bees buzz and the birds sing, or take a walk through a forest and stubble upon a portal to a magical place. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! I love you all so much! ♡ Kalyn

I love Greek retellings and that Stephen Fry book looks PERFECT!! I know him as a comedian and had no clue about this book - thank you, thank you!!!!
The Secret Garden as a child was my most favorite book; it is a beautiful time travel into a different era of England. However it is far more than just a book about children renovating a locked garden. it is also about the unlocking of the Garden of the heart where walls have been built up, gates have been locked and the hidden hurts and pains of life has caused the weeds of sorrowful thoughts and the disarray of false start to be rooted out and for the furrows of the heart to be replanted with seeds of joy and beauty. Like the petals of a rose it grows in Beaty and illumination for those who seek it. May all who enter its pages find its secret. 🌹
Anne of Green Gables is the perfect spring book for me :)
I read the first two Tea Dragon Society books per your recommendation and just stated Aquicorn Cove. I also got the third Tea Dragon book from the library and plan on reading it this month. The second book is my favorite so far. Thank you for your recommendation
Spring is so so lovely and magic filled, so many creatures and insects. I can’t tell you how many bunnies I’m holding in spring, magical experience! Happy reading✨
Omg I want all the bunnies 🐇🐇🐰
I love Winnie the pooh..my kitchen is all neutral decor with little bits of classic pooh also..so cozy
i love tuck everlasting so much 🥺 my mom teaches it to her third grade glass every year when spring comes around and every year we sit and have a long chat about it. it never fails to amaze me how much of an impact that book has on me years after i first read it! i highly recommend reading the search for delicious also by natalie babbit if you haven't! it's so whimsical and heartwarming :)

You really put a lot of hard work and thought into your videos and it shows in their quality. You are very smart and just good at summarizing (spring-arise-ing) Thank you, it’s appreciated.

I'm currently reading Mythos and I absolutely love it! I'm also listening to the audiobook and it's so amazing! It's narrated by Stephen Fry himself, so you know it has to be good 😉
Stephen Fry is just another level, and I absolutely adore everything he does and writes. I wasn’t aware he was popular in the states too. Thanks for the audiobook tip. I listened to the Harry Potter books he narrated, and he was awesome. His voice is something else! Have a beautiful day xx
Cutest intro ever! 🌸✨

Aww thank you so much ☺️ 🙈
Hi. I thought maybe you wanted to know what we norwegians are reading this time of year😉. In our easter holyday we read alot of crime, watch it on tv too. Not horror or thrillers, but good oldfashion «who’s done it». I usually go for Agatha Christie. We also need chocolate, marzipan, hot chocolate, orange soda and maybe some red wine in front of the fireplace after a day of skiing. Ideally at a cabin in the moutains😊. Happy easter🐣.
Good morning happy Monday morning and I just wanted to say that your vlogs is sooo good I'm proud of you and I loved your channel always because you are sweetheart
Aww wow thank you! This was seriously the sweetest comment. I’m so glad you like them and thank you so much for watching!
@@KalynAbridged awwww of course sending you hugs ❤️ 🤗
Your outfit is beautiful!!! Where did you get it?
Tuck Everlasting is still one of my all time favorites!
😅 I live next to Ashdown Forest , the forest where Winnie the Pooh stories are set, so I’m happy the book was included! It’s a magical place
Mythos was a fantastic read- it got a 5 stars when I read it. I will definetely have to get Tuck Everlasting on my kindle.
Love these recommendations 💕 I will definitely be reading acotar this year finally! Lol I absolutely love the tea dragon society and howls moving castle! Some spring classics in my opinion. I’d love to read Little Woman too since I never have. I’d love to read more of Jane Austen!
I just found your channel, and I'm so glad I did!! I really like your spring book recommendations. I started following you on Goodreads (cozycatsandbooks) and I read that you are an INFJ and a Hufflepuff! I am too!! I find it soooo hard to find similar personalities. I am reading the Harry Potter series this spring, and I definitely want to reread either Pride and Prejudice or Emma this spring too. Have you ever heard of the Cottage Tales of Beatrix Potter? They are very cottagecore. I am reading book 4 right now and it has everything---Beatrix Potter, fairies, talking animals, romance, mystery--they are just light-hearted, cozy reads. =)
omg, I just started following you on Instagram and we have the same last name lol!! How funny is that!!
This was such a cute video! We still have snow in the forecast all week in Montana so I’ll be reading cozy spring books to pretend! 🌷
Same as where I live! Ug.
Yeah to be honest the weather isn’t great here in Colorado either. I just caught it on a good day 😅 but yes we can definitely pretend!
OMG! I just got Uprooted after reading Spinning SIlver!!
I feel like I really need to dive into all my classic books now. For the moment I am reading Emma by Jane Austen 😃
Love your recommendations!!! I really want to reread Winnie the Pooh now ☺️💜
Yay I've been anticipating this video since our sprints, it's turned out BEAUTIFUL 😍
Aww Gavin thank you!!! Love love love you! 🙈🥰
Lovely recommendations 🌸🐝 The Secret Garden movie from the 90s is very beautiful and nostalgic - I’d recommend if you haven’t watched it!
This is the first video of yours I’ve seen and I’ve subscribed! Love how you talk about each book
Yesss Silent Voice
YESSSS I just read sprite and the gardener and tea dragon fest
The Girl Who Drank The Moon is one of my faaavs
Where did you find that copy you have? I would love this!
Lovely selection! Read The Secret Garden and Little Women. Liked The Secret Garden better I think.
I heard about Secret Garden and I honestly thought that it was an amazing idea. But I started reading it and as an Indian I felt extremely angry about a lot of different things in there. I also saw a goodreads review that really explains so much of it deeply. It's possible that this is just my opinion but even if it is a classic and even if it was written a long time ago, I don't think it justifies the things in the book
Yeah I absolutely agree. I read it along with a few friends and we definitely contemplated not finishing it, but because it was for a bookclub we pushed through. I think it can be eye opening to see how things were in order to not let it be that way again, also it really made you see how horrible that the main character Mary is, but those first few chapters are really difficult to read so I absolutely don’t blame you! ❤️
TUCK EVERLASTING yes thank Q
For a good fae read I would recommend Iron king by julie kagawa 🥰 it’s an entire series of four books, a mix between Cruel prince and A curse so dark and lonely. I read it a few years ago and I still find myself wondering about those characters 🥲
OH MY GOSH! That’s exactly what I’ve been looking for I’m going to look into it right now! Thank you!!!
@@KalynAbridged I’m looking forward to your opinion on it, hopefully you’ll love it as much as I did 🥰
Hi! I was wondering what year and who the director was for the new Secret Garden movie you were talking about? I grew up watching the really old one from the 90's, and loved it but wondered what the new one was like!
Also, have you ever tried reading The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge? I think it's perfect for spring!
I loved this! 🙌🏻🌸 Where did you get your mug?? It's so cute!!
Thank you!!! Here’s the link 🥰www.naturallife.com/products/folk-art-mug?variant=36440910659747¤cy=USD&gclid=CjwKCAjwo8-SBhAlEiwAopc9W0rtFh3uidDqIesT6swDokMG0aJLVTW36BV4sbOuJ_q3n_KqJy2rqRoCngkQAvD_BwE
Hi my love
Thank you for all these wonderful recommendations, Kalyn🥰 Unfortunately, I haven't read any of them (I know shame on me😬) but I want to pick up Little Women or Pride & Prejudice in April 😍 The problem is that I don't know which one to choose 😬😂
Anyways, loved the video❤️
Loved your video as always! And what a beautiful edition of the Cruel Prince! You and Lexi definitely make me want to get into greek mythology inspired books but it feels very intimidating. Would you start with Circe or Mythos ?
Aww yay!!! I hope you do they are the best. If you know the Odyssey then Circe, but if you aren’t super familiar then Mythos is amazing and you’ll get to learn all the Greek stories! 😍
I have to know where your shirt/dress is from?😍
The audiobook of Mythos is chockablock with Fry’s dry humor. ❤️
You're Soooo pretty and beautiful may god bless you! you look like a magical cute fairy
The one book I can think of is You've Reached Sam by Dustin Thao because the cover has cherry blossom on it and it makes me think of spring 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Yes I actually have that on my list to read this spring! It looks so good!! 🌸🌸
I just bought Uprooted and These Hollow Vows!! 🥰I am so glad you recommend those books, this will make them a priority to me for next month's TBR☺! Happy reading! 🌷🌼🌱🌳🌹🌺
If you haven't read Wilderlore: The Accidental Apprentice, you should.
UGH YES I LOVE WINNIE THE POOH 🥲
do you know tips & tricks to save up money for buying books (without being broke)?
Hi cutie 💕
I am new subscriber ❤️
Can someone tell me what a “fae” is? I’m not too familiar with Fantasy.
Basically, it means fairies. Typically, fairies refer to pixies / michiveous characters whereas Fae refers more to a darker dimension of the mythological creature that doesn’t get along with humans and are often more cruel.
@@beatb0xdoll Thanks Audrey, kind of like evil fairies.
Hey
Oh my goodness, A Silent Voice destroyed me 😭
Coming back to finish watching because I miss your face. 🥺
Tuck Everlasting, Winnie is only 10 years old, and Tucks are older. A bit disturbing of a concept.
